Thanks. I'm not sure who refers to it as that, I have been to places that have been tougher than this area. If you look back through my videos, you'll probably find a few nice fish from this spot. I find sometimes it fishes well, others not so well. Not unlike a lot of ocean on the Qld Coast. I've landed metre Queenfish, nice Blue Salmon, and plenty of Mackerel in the area in the past, as well as hooking and losing some good barra (yet to land one of them from here). One of the challenges here is that it is right outside the harbour, so will be frequented by the tinny brigade as it's an easy stop on the way to other places, or an easy trip back if the weather turns ugly. It receives a lot of pressure, but is also highly dependent upon bait being in the bay.
A little but it depends on where I go. I've been in the kayak on average once a week in central Queensland for at least 5 years now and yet to smile upon one.
Thanks mate.. great content, I hope you enjoyed your cod
Cheers mate, appreciate it. Went well, for sure!
wicked cant wait to get out there in the yak
It can be well worth it, good fun and some good fish when you get lucky. Be safe!
Can’t wait to get out in the yak again
Good stuff. Impressed you actually caught something there as that area is typically regarded as some of the worst fishing anywhere in Qld.
