Prices depend on where you live and what kind of lifestyle you have. If you live a simple life, your expenses will be lower. If you live in a the city (or places which have high prices like BGC, Makati, Mackinley and the likes) and you like to live lavishly, then the cost will be high.

the prices varies depending where you are going to live, if it is in and around metro manila it might be a bit expensive since it is the capital unlike around the provinces but since the capital is where everything is like big malls, theme parks and where most people work.

Places like in BGC, you'd probably be looking to spend over 1k (usd) monthly to live comfortably there. $1.2k is one of my relative's *minimum* monthly living expenses in BGC. Still cheaper in comparison to Seoul, South Korea though.

The water is safe but the very old rusty pipes buried underground many years ago are not.

Cost of living in the Philippines depends in your lifestyle. Even if you are foreigner, learn to bargain. That's how Filipinos do it. But of course, you can't bargain in malls. You can look for a cheaper rent where you can live comfortably. Just learn to canvass online and take ocular inspection before you decide.

huhu it does look cheap but the salary rates here are so so far below South Korea.
the minimum in my province is P355/day or around US$6.33 PER DAY especially if you're employed in private.

The prices may vary depending on where you live. I think in my place it's a bit more expensive. It might be cheaper than in Korea, but the salary is bare minimum. Sometimes all your salary is for the bills only. Huhu
