Description of the class:
We will explore movement through dance games and create short dance phrases so you can get familiar with making your own choreography as you develop your skills and awareness.
Get into comfortable clothes, pick up a scarf or two and let’s dance together!
In this class we will play with different ways of moving around in our space, on the spot or in general space.
Isabelle Rousseau is an Edmonton, Alberta-based dancer and instructor.

More About the Teacher
Isabelle is a performer, creator and producer of theatre and dance, both in French and English.
She is passionate about movement, dance and child development. She has been teaching movement since 2005, and dance since 2013, and has worked for different organizations and studios over the years, including as Artistic Director at La Girandole Dance Association and Foolish Operations from Vancouver as performer and educator. She loves working with children as a dance artist in residence at various schools around Edmonton, such as Campbelltown School, J.H. Picard, Michaëlle-Jean and École Boréale in Fort MacMurray to name a few. She is excited to be part of the Mile Zero Education Team and to teach dance to children and teens!
