When my son was a teenager he was driving our suburban while his car was being serviced. He wrecked going around a curve on a dirt road with 3 other teenagers in the car with him. The car rolled 6 times before it came to a stop. Not One of them were injured except for my son who had a burn like place on his arm from the airbag that deployed. I thank God they were all ok other than being very shaken up. I'm so glad it happened in the suburban rather than any other vehicle. Those cars are built very well. Oh I'm so Jelly! My 2008 Suburban has 234k and still runs great though! DVD player still works, all the buttons and the heated seats still work. It's an LT too. So nice Austin is handy and can fix it up! Happy for ya'll and congrats! That's SO much safer than a van!
@@rainsofhealing They have an engine that toggles back and forth between 8 cylinder and 4 cylinder. If you live in an area with some hills, you just learn to coast when going down even the slightest incline- just ease off the pedal-and it shifts into 4 cyl and that saves gas. Before my husband died, we also had a Subaru forester and a Chrysler town & country. I got about 15/18 in the Chrysler, and about the same in the Subaru. Actually, the Subaru had the WORST gas mileage of all three! I average about 18.1 MPG- because I'm not a lead foot and I know how to coast and toggle into 4 cyl. These newer ones are like cars to drive- before maybe about 2006, they're more like trucks, but these are NICE rides! We paid $19k for ours in 2015, and it's still running strong, and I've put 126k on it.
