Many years ago. I played pro basketball in Badajoz. I went to visit a friend playing in Malaga. I wish I would have known about this city back then. Great video. Brought back great memories. I live in California. Maybe I'll visit with my wife.

Well, you can always come back…. Specially now that we have direct flights to Malaga(summer only) by United Airlines. There is a lot to explore here, we moved last year and have been recording our experiences(Check out Malaga video).
I’m sure, you’ll have a great time with Mrs here specially looking forward to into Ronda(we found it to be a very romantic place and not far from Marbella)

Perfect timing, the sun is getting stronger but not too hot like August. If you have time and a car, do visit Ronda! Only an hour’s drive away.

For those that have the budget, want to rub shoulders with people who enjoy high end name brand objects, drink & eat well and maybe indulge in the hook-up culture then Marbella is the town for you.

Best hotels in Marbella are definitely Puente Romano, Marbella club and Villa Padierna but apart from that there are hundreds of great choices like Sol Marbella Estepona, Hard rock hotel and many more but if are a group of 20 people…… we would recommend to hire a villa. There are several serviced apartments and villas on the coast with amazing locations.
Apart from shopping and dining, Marbella is a heaven for golf lovers, great night life and for nature lovers the village of Benahavis is great.
Apart from that we highly recommend going to Ronda for a day trip as well as other towns like Estepona and Mijas pueblo in the hills.
There’s lots or water sports on offer as well as sailing options.
You guys are going to have an amazing time :)

It’s definitely doable…. Of course you’ll face issues at times e.g going to corner shop or talking to a plumber.
Having said that, there is a lot of English/English speaking workforce out here.
In fact the local supermarket announcements are sometimes in 3 languages (Spanish, English and Dutch)
So yeah….. will be a challenge but not a big one.
Btw our local council Benahavís where more than 60% residents are foreigners has free Spanish language classes.

The weather is great, it would be around 25*C. The water would be cold so better off booking a hotel with indoor pool/heated pool.
Yeah its great with kids, depending on the age you can take them to Selwo Aventura, Game museum in Malaga(40mins drive), Butterfly park in Benalmadena(30mins drive) Aquamijas(waterpark) opens on 24th April though.
But overall, they’d enjoy the vibe and atmosphere.

Is it affordable in term of housing please?
There certainly are pockets where you can find bargains and certain areas which are still affordable.
Malaga is more beautiful but Marbella is like a Monaco of Spain.
Malaga has definitely more history and it’s absolutely beautiful too. We have been exploring all Costa del Sol (do check out our videos) and we were surprised about how beautiful the whole area is.

Marbella is choise If you can't afford Monaco 🎉 it's cheaper version of Monaco
Mónaco is of course the most expensive place in the world, Marbella is great especially in winters due to its year round micro climate.
There is not a Prada boutique in Puerto Banus....sorry

It all looks a bit tacky and full of posers , a playground for “ nouveau riches “. I much prefer low key areas in the the South of France or Italy .
That’s exactly how we felt when we first went to Puerto Banus(we mentioned in Puerto Banus video) but the rest of Marbella is quiet a chilled place tbh.
The more time we spend here, the more we realise that Marbella is changing fast into something special as Estepona is on the verge of merging into Marbella.
We would love to visit French riviera thoroughly and nothing compares to Italy! But all year great weather makes Marbella stand out from the rest.
