      @@chaiandcoaching as there is growth in e commerce, all online businesses need people who could analyze data, to tell them why they're making loss, or why they are making loss on a month particularly. What could we do to enhance the growth, and all of that!
      In a study there was a predicted 93% growth in data science in the next 2 years!

    What's the scope of a Design Engineer in the USA?
    The design may be a component of a machine or a sheet metal cabinet or any such work with at least three 3Dmodeling software and a programming language. can I survive with these skills or not??

    I am a civil engineering bachelor graduate in India fresh out of the college nd got admitted into some very good universities like Northwestern for Project Management (which has very similar curriculum as construction management and is for civil engineers) My only problem is I don't have any prior experience in construction management but just have a good interest. Will I be job ready after just graduating ? Or are there going to be difficulties of not working before.

      yogi yogi those are generalizations. It tends to be easier to get a job in the US with masters in CS compared to ME.

      The mechanical engineers I am acquainted with pair mechanical undergrad with an MBA. This takes you into another category. If you do mechanical engineering undergrad and masters then you move into the category of subject matter expert unless of course you have people skills and can sell your self as a management potential.

    I have a bachelors in political science and I boss around engineers as a project manager in defense. I also make more than all of them.
    I took 0 math. STEM is for people who don’t have personalities and need hard skills (just like the mustached gentleman stated).Everyone in defense knows engineers can’t read, write, or talk. However, they are necessary and will always get a job... but they STINK at getting promoted because they can’t think critically. Find me a good smart engineer who can also lead and he/she will be making $250,000 in no time.
    Granted I was a Marine and my degree is Ivy League.

      cm from university of florida. It has a better ranking and has a separate department for construction management ie rinker school of management. uta is not that reputed in texas.

      @@chaiandcoaching never mind i changed my major to biology pre dental. A aviation degree is useless when you lose your medical or get furloughed. The airline industry is unstable and doesn't meet my needs that i want in life. Anyway, yeah...

      Sure, but depends on your effort. Jobs aren’t based on degree, based on networking and the profile you build. It’s possible, but all up to you.

      Construction Management is different than construction engineering. Yes , schools like Purdue, auburn, USC is good for your resume. But, it really does not matter for construction management. Compared to construction engineering that need technical engineering skill the most important skills in construction management is people skills. So, my point is you can go to the best schools on paper but if you show up to the job fair or at the interview with bad people skills then you won’t get the job. Of course they will check for knowledge but CM requires people skills.

      If you don't know what you want to study or what career you want to pursue then you shouldn't go abroad. :) You need to know "Why" you want to go abroad first, then make a plan for that.
