omg I noticed this about headphones too. I feel it became a distraction when I was on metro/bus/walking. I try to be more intentional about it now and listen to what's happening around me rather than music in my ears all the time. It was really overstimulating after all, to have headphones all the time

Girl i am the same with the avoiding silence. I like to be alone and stuff so i never thought that im avoiding something, but im also listening to music or yt video or a podcast and i noticed that not listening to music makes me feel so relaxed and its so refreshing
