Hi! I'm attending New Paltz in the fall as a Freshman and I have a few questions if you're able to answer them :) I went on a tour of the school and I was told that we were able to fill out a form to decide where we wanna dorm, and I was just wondering if you normally get your top choice on where you wanna live? I was also reading on NP's website about what you aren't allowed to have a campus, but I saw you have some stuff it said you aren't allowed to have, so I was wondering if RA's are strict about what you have in your dorm?
Hi! So personally I got my top choice but it was purely coincidental. You can always transfer halls if you end up hating yours. Also, I’ve never had anything get confiscated so what exactly are you referring to?
Hi I’m thinking of transferring to new paltz in the fall! How has the communal bathroom situation been? I’m thinking of getting a 4 person suite because I’m scared of the communal bathrooms but it’s a lot more expensive :/
Hi! in my opinion it’s not bad at all! I’ve never even had to wait for a shower and if it gets messy the RA will host a meeting for the floor members to get back on the same page :) I also could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that the suites are the same price it’s just that upperclassmen get priority. Good luck with your transfer!
@@martynachrustek oh wow that’s awesome I didn’t realize they were the same price! Private schools charge like 5,000 more for suites I didn’t realize state schools didn’t! Thanks for answering!
I believe that if you are a resident on campus then no, but if you are a commuter yes. There are some loopholes to this so feel free to dm me on Instagram @martyna.chrustek and I will let you know of those :)
My daughter is rooming in Bliss Hall this year, third floor! We found your videos to be extremely helpful when figuring out what to bring 😊
