need recommendation I love to grow tropical fruit trees and have been searching for a place in S Florida. I watch many of your videos and super grateful for you!! I’m in my early thirties and where would you recommend living long-term with tropical fruit trees? I loveee Homestead but I don’t think I’ll afford to live there.
WOW! Nice video. I was just there 3/10 to 3/13 LOL. May have crossed path. Thinking about buying a plot there. Price are inflated. Still seeking advice on tropical plant support...not sure soil will do. add voice over and share whereabouts as you travel to each intersection would have been 2x more helpful.
@ HumbleGolds, keep the native cold-hardy trees and cold-hardy shrubbery (as a windbreak) so cold damage won't be much of a problem. Tender tropicals can be planted under the protection of a canopy of cold hardy trees. Frost will land on the canopy of the cold hardy trees and be kept off the frost sensitive under-plantings of tropicals. Full sun= full frost so anything planted in full sun should handle frost well or at least bounce back from. Subtropical plants tend to bounce back from frost damage.
I just came back today from that place, when I was there I get out my car to ask for the price of a house that was for sale, and as soon I put my feet on the soil I felt the very very intense heat I couldn’t even breathe, it was like hot vapor coming out of the soil and the price of the house was $350.000 my goodness!!
@SOUTHERN LIFE thanks for posting these videos, for a lot of these neighborhoods your videos are the only thing online about them. I’m i interested in Felda, FL it’s 15 minutes north of Immakolee. How long would a commute to downtown fort Myers be?
Forget about how long.. its a traffic bottleneck.. not like it stops.. its always flowing endlessly with work trucks and dump trucks.. only one way in and out of Immokalee. Its a very aggravating drive and every year countless people die in traffic accidents out there. Despite being in the middle of nowhere its got massive traffic as its the only inland route between major points. Other than that its quiet middle of nowhere. Biggest crime concern is stolen trucks and equipment as well as cows.
if you need a realtor my sister can help Susana Rodriguez. (239)248-4793. they allow homes, mobile homes and apparently container homes. They seam to be VERY open to cheaper options. call HENDRY county permit people and give them a specific address.
Bro I'm back as a subscriber Jose! how have you and Katie been doing? I move to Dothan Alabama from Miami Florida being the fact that I was priced out, of Miami Florida! As well. And now I'm homeless living out of the Flying Jay truck stop. in Dothan Alabama. being the fact that I was "wrongfully" "evicted." out of Dothan, Alabama Housing Authority! How have you all been doing??
Go to Panama City Beach and be homeless there! More action and people to fight with 😊 try that for a bit. I bet you could hustle something there with all the tourists. Just stay sober and you will be alright! Glad your back and home we can have a better time now. Were in Florida trying to stay above water.
Astonished with some rural areas in some places _ i can now see why most people prefer the city better_ because their is no groceries or gas station or pharmacy_ and what about if you break down out of nowhere ..some places are not for everyone 👍
need recommendation

just be glad you got a video this area is really remote. soil isnt the problem the cold snaps in the winter are. $35,000 an acre is already too much
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS how much should 1 acre be in the area? I need affordable housing in Florida
