I get spending extra to get more space, until you've lived somewhere super cramped you can't understand how day to day things like cooking become really annoying! This was super interesting to see house hunting in a different country, thanks for taking us with you!
Hello, I'm Brazilian, your video came to me after I researched the monstrous building. I liked your videos and I wish you all the best in your new home.
Love that you got the house you wanted! Side note always say no to mold! Paint does not get rid of the underlying cause of the mold! I'm so glad you didn't go with that moldy place! Soon we will hopefully get an updated tour with how your decorated and all that jazz!
My lease is up next month, and after seeing your video (and looking around a bit) I realize it's a very good deal so will try to stay there. You gave some good tips I didn't think about. Thanks
I’m from Hong Kong as well and had a lot of challenges apartment hunting for allllll the reasons you’ve mentioned. Keep up with your work, not a lot of good UA-camrs in hk! ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to explain the context at the start. Very clear. You have all the same priorities as I did when I was looking for my house in the U.K. unfortunately I couldn’t afford what I wanted and ended up with a really dark place which is eternally depressing.
I am Brazilian living in Colombia. I have been in the same situation as you. I was 25 living in a super small place without windows while I was studying my masters, but when the pandemic came, it was impossible to continue where I was. Then I moved to my first apartment and then to a bigger apartment. The feeling of getting a bigger slace with proper windows is delightful! 😂 I loved the video and I really hope you are living happily there! ❤
randomly encountered your video~~ you're so well spoken and I love how you phrase your sentences!! really interesting video, you're my new favourite youtuber!
I really love how you've grown from a student with a tiny flat --> to a student with a tiny flat and window. --> And now working with a bigger place!! So amazing progress. 🥳🤌🙌
Congratulations on your new home! ❤ And thank you for explaining your apartment hunting progress:) i hope you can invite your friends/boyfriend over for parties now haha .
I also live in a one room apartment and I get what you mean with hoping to not see your bed from the living room😂 I really hope you will find the time to show us what you do with your new space. I saw your first apartment where you had a lot of Ikea furniture, and it was a bit heart warming because even though I live in Germany, I have a lot of the same pieces. It`s motivating to see you move up in the world. I will work harder too! Best of luck to you with your new house 💖
Warm / cool colour makes it more spacious.. ❤ The wood theme, such a good space but probably wrong choice of shade of wood. 🎉 I'm not sure why I'm here but love this video 😂❤ 😂
Hi there. I'm watching all the way from South Africa. I am looking at moving to HK next year so I love learning all about the everyday life in HK and what I can expect
New subscriber😊❤i understand what you meen , having seperat spaces makes it feel more of a home. I’m writing as i see you’re video😘you seem like a very sweet girl with a good head on you’re shoulder .🥰 congratulations on a new apartment 👍🏻🥰
had to rewind a few times to go back to the price, as I thought you were saying £10-12 HKD ( I missed the K!) I was wondering why you were saying it was a lot of money!! makes more sense now!😅
I'm new on your channel and waiting for the next full house tour of your new flat 😄 You're channel randomly appear in my feeds just now hehe but I like you already( your video😂) so interesting to watch Even if I'm not in hk 😂
Hey! Thank you for this video, I'm moving to Hong Kong and your videos have been so helpful - even the older ones! Could I ask, how much would you expect the landlord to be okay with in terms of lowering the original listed price on 28Hse?
I'm glad I was able to help! In my experience, it really depends on the landlord & what the original price of the house is. So when I used to rent cheaper places I only got a few hundred lower as the offer but as I looked for more expensive places I was able to haggle a bit more. I would say generally they are willing to negotiate around 1k when I looked at these places!
Hi, this might be a weird question but have you ever had mold issues with rentals before? Since hong kong is a hot climate place with high humidity do the furnitures have mold on it after the houses have been closed up for so long? Coz i myself have this issue with renting in malaysia
Hi Ashley, how much do a person with your type of job make a month? Because that's like a super expensive apartment for someone from Latin America. Like that's half of our paycheck and the space is like way smaller from what you would get for that price on here.
Hi! So because the cost of living is much higher in HK, generally people do get a "higher" salary. I would say my rent budget was a bit less than half of my paycheck but I was willing to pay that much because I spend so much time at home :)
I could and would happily live in HK if it weren't for the ridiculous apartment rental prices!!! the rest of HK is awesome!! sadly I remember when you could get a studio apartment for around HKD6000 a month... around 30sqm... not anymore I think! lol
Your videos are really helpful. I am from India due to my work am coming to hongkong in a while. Need to know how about how can I search rental house in HK Is it possible to contact you?
i've been wanted to ask this, is that is it possible for a teenager (16) to move out alone in an apartment? If is possible, here are the questions i wanted to ask 1. How should i determine which rent prices are overpriced? 2. Which places are more affordable and suitable for me to move in? 3. Do you have to sign anything or do anything that's related to the law in order to move in? (Immediate move in / late move in)? 4. Oh, and i forgot. Which website should i find apartment to rent? I'm not sure which ones are trustworthy
Hi, I cannot answer this question definitively but you probably will not be able to move out on your own without the support of your parents since you need to provide income proof and sign a contract when you move into a new house. If you are a teenager yourself, I would advise seeking advice from the adults in your life :)
I just got an offer to work there and my salary monthly around 55 ish a month. Checked the fully furnish room and it cost 24k. Wtf. Half of my salary. But i just randomly checn the house without considering the area cause I will be working at the airport. 13k is consider cheap. I just want a house with a kitchen cause i am a muslim and goes to gym a lot
Assalamualaikum, Are you from Malaysia? Actually my brother is moving to HK for work in a few weeks. His office will be in Quarry Bay. He is also looking for a house with a kitchen because we are muslim and he wants a gym but it seems like it's quite hard to find a membership at an affordable price lol Anyways, drop a line if you'd like to connect with him? Assalamualaikum.
I studied hospitality/tourism in university so I would have gone to work in a hotel or in the tourism industry. But I personally decided to move into marketing after I graduated :)
why you stopped vlogging atleast do a little bit...and i know you are not comfortable to vlog outside just use a insta camera or dji which doesnt make you that much uncomfortable...show more of you what you do and about...show your city and eats and places...good luck if you start again
