Good list. But I think the most obvious Sci-Fi western is Firefly, a TV show, but it spawned the feature film Serenity. (or is it te other way around?) They even used six-shooters. I would also argue, though it too is a TV show, that Battlestar Gallactica is space western, a wagon train evading a hostile enemy as it crosses to a fertile promised land.
What about Forbidden Planet? Think of Walter Pidgeon and his daughter as prospectors in Apache territory, and Leslie Neilson as captain of the US cavalry passing through and warning them of the danger, only to encounter a greater danger.
you made a small error at 12:10 , Star Trek was not based on Wagon Master , Gene Roddenberry's push to executives was Imagine a "Wagon Train" in space ..

Interesting take!
Like all genres, these movies represent The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
Actually, Roddenberry sold it to the network as "wagon train in outer space," but what the real inspiration for Star Trek was Horatio Hornblower.
The Valley of Gwangi came before Jurassic Park. Good movie.
Still a fun movie today. Available on bluray.

Battle Beyond the Stars. A scifi retelling of the western remake of THE samurai movie.
You completely forgot Battle Beyond the Stars, Roger Corman's version of the Seven Samurai and The Magnificent Seven.

The film Wagon Master inspired the TV series Wagon Train. So in a sense, Wrangler is correct.
Battlestar Galactica is THE space WagonTrain/Wagon Master!!
You missed time pilot
Forward into the past
What is your definition of "western?"
After Wild Wild West, it went off the rails with Outland. 0% western, 100% sci-fi. Stopped watching at that juncture
Were there only 9 films? pretty flimsy list and total unnecessary...
