Red Bull is indeed under pressure. The RB20 is not the RB19, or even the RB18. On any given weekend, Ferrari, McLaren, or Mercedes are showing they are faster. But this is showing how elite Max is. He dragged that RB20 to victory in Spain. He made the moves he needed to when he needed to and no one else on the grid could have done it. Checo is a good driver, and the fact he's struggling so much with the RB20 and Max is having to scratch his way to victories shows how it's clearly not up to past Red Bull standards. Max is an all-time talent behind the wheel.
I wonder if RBR is using engine mapping as a sort of traction control for launching the car in the first two or three gears, because Max's launches are so consistent.
We've forgotten how good max is when he is chasing a position rather than defending. He has imo developed great defending in the last two years. So even if lando had got a better start I think verstappen would have hunted him and got the first position

McLaren absolutely have not had the fastest car over the past 5 races, and while they might have had this weekend, it was marginal. It's threatening cause they managed to maintain performance and challenge Redbull on various different tracks. This is the closest anyone has been to Redbull in the current regs.
