Can't go wrong with Dalesbridge 👍 I've been three times since you first enlightened us with it and I'm 100 miles away 🙂 Great vid as usual, whatever the content.
Had the brake light come on while I was in Northumberland last year - was rescued by a great guy at the campsite I was at - who did a full T6 pad change while I went for a walk - purely as her owned a van and had a set in his garage. Amazing story, and guy. As for campsites in the Lakes - I used The Quiet Site on the side of Ullswater, amazing place - great pizza, beer, best facilities I have seen on a site, and loads of walking opportunities. Love to see you do a video of it, it defo needs a visit from quifftopher.
I’m glad you decided to go ahead with the video, turned out really good. So much went wrong, by the time the omelette got burnt/stuck I think I may have just launched the whole pan 20 ft away and just got the malt out. Are you sure that wasn’t a sponge you were cooking though! Loved your pal at the end. Character!. Look forward to next week.
I’ll never understand why these sites say no BBQ’s or fire pits. Surely to Jasus they must know us outdoor lads and lassies love a good fire. It rips my knitting!! Anyhoo, I’m chillin with a rum, enjoying your video Colin. Haven’t watched the cooking yet haha. Love the Dalesbridge !!
Ah, that wasn’t the Camping & Caravan Club site at Bowness I thought you meant. That one is right on the lake and you may have been able to get on without booking 🤔
We stayed in a nice hotel close to the Bowness & Windermere site & had now & then throughout the summer tried to unsuccessfully book it,my wife however was less keen - something about the site sits uneasy with her, & I too abandoned our plans to stay there.
Awesome, well done on still doing the video, Dalesbridge is definitely on my radar shortly 👍 Was going to ask, regards fire pits, have you seen or know if there are any fire pits that it predominantly fire pit, but could also be used to cook on, I've only seen one or the other, not a combined, thanks in advance 😀
Awesome buddy, thank you! So the pit I use can actually be used to cook on too (it comes with a grill) and we've used it as a BBQ in the garden loads during summer!
@Yorkshirepoptopadventures ahhh that's awesome, thank you, which make is yours, please. we're still very green around the edges, just setting out on our camping adventures 😀
@csealby it's just a cheap one from Amazon that I'd thought I'd take a punt on and it's outlasted most of my other firepits.... its this one amzn.to/4gpbBDc it's not really a "brand" but works perfectly for me and I absolutely cane them xxx
@Yorkshirepoptopadventures amazing 👏 thank you 😊 🙏 I'll check it out, hopefully will bump in to you on a site soon, I used to like photography many moons ago, not had chance to get out in years, you should do a photography meet up some time, (although as I'm new here you probably already have 😆)
Colin of course you can’t stay at a CAMC campsite if you’re not a member. CAMC have special permission to setup these CLs. As a member a CL, Certificated Location is allowed to have 5 vans or motorhomes per night. No tents. They don’t need to get planning permission to setup but they have to abide by the CAMC rules. Quite right, keeps the standards up and the riff raff out. Why don’t you join it’s only £65 a year. You can afford it. Loads of great sites to choose from and I for one would like to see your reviews on them as well.. 👍
@Pjhumpy also, just read your comment again 🤣🤣 (see, I'm not good at reading info 🤣🤣) - I've deleted my other comment now and will respond below 🤣 So, I have stayed on a few CAMC sites before, without being a member... (they had a CAMC sign in their shop/entrance etc, whether they are "official" or not remains to be seen... I'll definately visit a few in some future videos though.. Have an ace evening bud
I’ve got to ask this, because it’s one of those random questions that never leaves one’s mind if not asked. Why have you got a banana hanging from your window blind? 😂
I too dont stay where firepits are not allowed..BUT i did buy a gas firepit for forest camps..do you decide where to go or do you get told..beginning of this video you said read message as to where you're going
That's a cracking idea, i might look into one of those. I usually 99% of the time, decide where I'm going (unless michelle books them for me) - The message was from the campsite :)
I colin you must have some coin stoping on all these campsites i refuse to pay it, i have been all over Europe, scotland England Wales in my t5.1 for the last 10 years and stoped on a dozen campsites in all that time and thats because people i was traveling with wanted to stop in campsites, wild camping is king
🤣🤣🤣 I wish.... Basically, any money I make from UA-cam goes back into paying for campsites so I can do campsite tours for people to see them. It's basically a break-even, passion project... Otherwise, I'd be off grid camping more if I wasn't making videos 🤣🤣
I’m glad it’s not just us where things don’t go to plan when away, great video col as always
Thanks for sticking with the vid! It's good to see when things don't go to plan. It happens to us all ❤
Thanks buddy

Mushroom or slug? Hilarious 😂. You never fail to entertain us, thank you. Hope you and the family have a lovely weekend. ❤️
The game was real 🤣🤣🤣
Well done Colin! We enjoyed watching.

Fair play col more people should show the vids where it dosent go to plan ,shows normality and nobodys perfect 👍
Most amusing vid. I like that sometimes if just does not go right and you have to roll with it.

Love the Dalesbridge !!
Fisher ground camp site near Eskdale is worth a look, along with the mini railway which runs alongside it

Great video very funny
Rebel the cat 😂
Same brake sensor went last week on our van. Should've been an easy job,it was ceased in and had to be drilled out. Hopefully you have better luck 👍
Sponsored by Stella Artois lol. Nought wrong with the video. Love the cameos 😂

@ Shhhhh! Colin don’t tell and get them into trouble. All CAMC CLs are Members only. Some are flexible if they like the look of you.
@Pjhumpy must be the quiff 🤣🤣🤣! The quiff is like having a fluorescent jacket on 🤣🤣
God loves a trier 😂😂😂 nowt wrong with dales bridge going there soon i hope 🙏
Cheers Col. I am not a member of either club & prefer the independents.
I'm the same matey...
I’ve got to ask this, because it’s one of those random questions that never leaves one’s mind if not asked. Why have you got a banana hanging from your window blind? 😂
