I saw MtH live in London 2022. I thought Baby Metal was the most intense gig I have been too, but they took it up a few notches. Incredible band live. A must see band live.

Rock on man! It's been a while. I met this Japanese band like almost everybody because of Death Note anime opening (my favorite anime till these days and got another song for the ending), back in 2007 iirc, the whole album is insane and really something different mixing pop elements with metalcore, funk, nu metal and hardcore punk. I guess because of bands like them i was very receptive when I met BabyMetal which btw you're totally missing their new album "The Other One", they got 10 songs and the good news is you won't get blocked with any of the official videos so don't worry about it and come back with this suggestion:
- Mirror Mirror official live (got live footage but it's studio album sound).
MTH is gonna play along with many more bands including BabyMetal next October/November at "Next Fest" in Japan, a festival with Bring Me The Horizon as the host.

Hah, watched death note circa 2007 when it came out, just recently got reminded that it even exists, and i instantly started reminiscing about listening the fuck out of the 2nd opening sonf but didnt even remember what it sounded like. As ive gotten older and more well versed with music i actually listened to the whole album in 1 sitting and it was amazing. Definitely recommend the entire album.

As for the language, it’s Japanese, but I’m thinking a lot of their lyrics are more like skatting, even Japanese speakers don’t understand a lot of their lyrics.
BTW, this is one of their more normal songs, most are very prog with multiple song styles mashed up in the 1 song, maybe check out their song “Hungry Pride”

Nicht deren bester Song, aber für mich einer der wichtigsten Songs. Nachdem ich bei Death Note Staffel 2 erreicht hatte und dieses Lied der Opener war, hab ich mir das komplette Lied auf YT angehört und damit die Tür zu einer großen Menge an genialen Bands aus Japan geöffnet. Mittlerweile ist über 90% der Musik, die ich höre, aus Japan. Du solltest dir auf jeden Fall noch etwas mehr von MTH anhören. Die haben einige geniale Songs gemacht, zum Teil mit echt heftigen Wechseln. Ich empfehle dir Yoshu Fukushu, Maximum The Hormone II oder A.L.I.E.N.
4 von 10? Dein ernst? OK, nicht deren Topsong. Aber 4 von 10? Lass dich von deren "Yoshu Fukushu" überzeugen. Maximum The Hormone sind verdientermaßen Legenden in Japan und haben viele Bands und Musiker inspiriert. Hanabie haben zum Beispiel als MTH Coverband angefangen.

MTH is just them not a mixture of really anything or a mixture of everything your choice. I hate the SOAD comparison, they are just them.
