I am nepali , but I was born and raised in New York . As a first generation in America , I have a lot of pressure to perform well in school and things like that. Growing up in America is okay but man I turned 21 recently and I wish I can spend my 20s in Nepal , go out to eat pani puri and momo with friends , enjoy the nature and have fun in holidays like Holi and such.
I visit nepal like every 5 years , only for 1 month . I wish I could stay longer .I can relate to all these things in the video.
Sometimes I wish my parents never immigrated to America , I wonder what my life would have been like growing up in Kathmandu.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I get you having these moments of reflection and longing for what could have been, but I also feel we need to remember that your experiences as a first-generation immigrant have provide you with a diverse set of skills and perspectives that may not have been possible if you had grown up solely in Nepal. All we can do is to look positive to our situation and be grateful for whatever there is .
