I really only enjoy vintage games (pre-1990) so I’m sure that will narrow my field. I also don’t have a lot of friends. As my parents were in their mid 30’s when I was born and my best friend was raised by his grandparents I tended to play older games. I’m almost 52 now. I really like “thinking” games like Acquire, Stocks & Bonds, Executive Decision, and Point of Law all by 3M. I’m also a fan of word games and trivia games. Great video and advice there Matt. 👍🏻

I want to start a regular group but I don't want it in my tiny ass house. I don't even have an inside table.

Hey Matt Great Tips! What about trying to match your game theme to your food offerings?
For Example, I have alot of STAR WARS related games(of course) and Love cooking too. So if I know my nephews are coming over for a weekend, I pull out my STAR WARS COOKBOOK and make various snacks; Like Boba FEtt-uccine, Obi Wan Kebabs, Dark side Salsa, Wookie Cookies, Jedi Saber pops, or Darth Maults.
it's fun to tie in the theme with the food, and the kids have fun making stuff with me (and are learning to cook too....shhhhhhh)
Then we may play a few of my SW games and watch the movies.
For your Zombiegeddon maybe have some Zombie themed snacks. Like Serve Brain Pasta (I know obvious), or Zombie finger sandwiches. I've seen fun stuff in the Halloween Vein with frozen "eyeball" Ice cubes in the punch.
    Food For Thought :-D

FYI, for Star Wars Day this past year I made the kids goodie bags. I used the Star Wars Ice Cube Trays and made them little candies. Cookies and Cream AT ATs, Peppermint Bark X-Wings, Dark Chocolate Vader helmets, and Han Solo in Carbonite (he had peanut butter inside the chocolate) to name a few.

Interesting vid. I have to play solo. It's not always easy especially if you have a game where you have to have a card that really needs to be secret like Miami Vice's drop point. I need to check out your Zombies!!! playlist. I haven't played that game in awhile and it's sitting 3 ft from me lol

lol. it's a fun game! Sorry you just have to play solo. Hopefully you'll be able to find a gaming group someday.
with all the games you have in your collection, I know I wouldn't hesitate to come over of I was in the area! lol

That would definitely be fun ; yeah I'm in O-H-I-O lol
Actually youtube gameplay has gotten me interested in stuff like D&D Adventure system boardgames so I picked up all four for less than $40 each inc two MIB and a couple Dungeon Command packs with minis cards and tiles that can be used with them for $7 for two MIB with a $50 coupon(!)
And the X-Wing Minis game. haven't even opened any of that game and expansion packs yet. it's kinda cool having them MIB like my Star Wars action figure collection though. It feels different in shrink wrap. I'm going to try to see if I can keep the shrink wrap intact. The expansion blister packs are hermetically sealed so I have to take an Xacto to carefully preserve the packaging fwiw I would like to do unboxing vids even though I'm far from an authority or public speaker but not too many people show closeups of everything in the box which I always like to see pre-purchase.
D&D 4e I watched a lot of gameplay and listened to podcasts in the past. I probably know the game as well as anyone who played it a lot lol I just picked up some deals on 4E stuff.
I'm trying to finish vids on the Alien board game but also several vids on the Star Wars PocketModel TCG I dug up and realized it's a fun quick game. I also have WizKids Pirates game and Star Wars TCG. I picked up old SW PM TCG packs recently.
I actually goofed up on Alien didn't realize it til I watched the playback. So I'm going to say there's continuity errors just like movies that weren't fixed so see if you can spot them and leave a comment so I don't have to reshoot what was otherwise an interesting outcome that I had never had happen before. It may or may not have worked out that way because of a skipped turn trying to shoot and explain and demonstrate at the same time. I also show trivia on the box design.
Fun stuff but ins't getting easier to shoot. Brevity isn't my forte. The SW PM TCG had to be broken into several videos...for an OOP game lol
Love sharing it with people like yourself who can appreciate it ; and actually pcik some of them up becasue of the vids which is cool!
I'm doing amusement park vids right now so I got sidetracked. I'm really not making much adsense on the Collection channel. Is a labor of love and to get it off my mind. I have stuff shot from a couple years ago I have to finish. And one I have to find Which Witch? was a ton of work and would be difficult to reshoot fwiw

Do you play games at your house or do you go to each of your friends house every once in a while. To alternate so it's not at your house all the time? I was wondering about that. This info gave me lots of info. I've been researching what are short or long games like ticket to ride, pirate cove, etc.

+26snoopy82 I usually host but I'm not opposed to rotating places if that's what they wanted.
Problem is, I have all the games. They've bought a few over the years but my collection is still the largest.

I'm in Louisiana actually. I know why you thought Alabama (War Eagle in the top right corner of the video) my parents were from Alabama.
Dad lived in Mobile and Mom was from Gadsden up near your neck of the woods.
I was actually in Birmingham just last month! Took the Mrs shopping and went back home. it's a nice town. I love Alabama.
BTW I come from a house divided. Mom was Auburn Dad graduated from Bama. lol

Oh one thing is how can you find friends to play games? Most of mine have moved or have a family. Or never answer my question if they would like to play a game.

That's the only part I'm stuck on right now I just need about three or four friends to start out with.

First place to look would be a local board game store. Book stores I notice sometimes have folks who play, other than that's it s just meeting the right people and growing from there! : )
