I’ve stopped playing this game for a while now but its always interesting to watch your content to see what’s new. I certainly didn’t expect this car to make it in, especially in Class A since it is a LeMans beast, but given some GT3 cars make it to lower classes it makes sense. I hope they add some more cars of the type like the Mercedes C9, the Mazda 787B or the Peugeot 905 to compete against it on equal grounds.
If I'm not mistaken, this is tied for the 2nd oldest car in Asphalt 9, being from 1988, second only to the Ferrari F40 that's from 1987 and tied with the Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
Man... if I ever wanted a key reminder of the golden era of A8, this is it. With the reference to being the new SLK SE... man, the super slow accelerating, yet *dominating* with its top speed, it's gonna take a *lot* to knock this off the totem pole. We've got a long term king here.
The jaguar XJ-9 is pretty nuts, it has abysmal acceleration but absurd top speed and long lasting nitro efficiency that makes up for it's sluggish acceleration , all I can say its a nutty car for slipstream.
I wish GL would’ve added this Jag’s roadgoing brother - the XJR-15 - instead. So close yet so far. But nevertheless the XJR-9 is a beauty. What’s really funny, though, is that I imagined the 15 to be an extremely agile car with extremely bad nitro if it ever comes to A9. A9’s XJR-9 turns out to be an inversion of that. 😂
If paired with someone like Rpm_Katana QWERTY Driver 555 etc. This thing will demolish cars like the Imola Countach LPI 800-4, Valhalla, Rumsfeld C1 and pretty much all the current Kings of Class A. You have to put this as king of class A in your next Best and Worst Cars.
Speaking of the SLK SE, I miss the old days of Asphalt 8. Before they nerfed the 2018 McLaren X2's acceleration, the X2 was the absolute king at the time. And I remember having a completely PRO X2. Good times...with my fully PRO X2, I legit felt like I was on top of the world, especially in Multiplayer, where I was even able to achieve Elite League a good number of times.
@@feuerrm Yep, when the Centenario was essentially the laughingstock of the Asphalt 8 community because of its brutally difficult R&D event and was inferior to the McLaren X2 pretty much everywhere, even on Tokyo Reverse.

Bruh man. Just look at the way the xjr9 looks. Without all the original liveries. I guess it was to avoid copyright strike which is really important but still, I'd rather be on a real racing game with all the liveries than to be on an arcade racing game which puts an LMP on a whole new level. The stock top sped of the xjr9 in a9 is 394kmh but in real life, can't even reach 370. Can't even be cusstom tuned. I'm a fan of LMP cars. And hell nah they better not add the Nissan R92CP because yeah we're fine with all the p2w that you throw at us ,gameloft. It's enough.
@@feuerrm You're skilled.. So I can see why you'd say that. But against other skilled drivers, in other high end A class cars.. I doubt this car would perform well. Outside of a ghost season.
@@feuerrm I'd love to see it.. It actually bothers me a bit that you don't have more high end cars to test during regular MP seasons. Meaning, I think you deserve maybe a few Gold cars from GL permanently.. For the content you produce. You make due with what you have though. And your content is still stellar.

Man this reminds me a lot about the good old days of A8. Sadly the SLK has been absolutely destroyed after the current season
Sigh... it's in class D now.
But it still useful and one of the best class D cars, so hopefully it would still bring back memories in a slow SLK

My opinion of this car in game: Good top speed, bad acceleration, good handling/drifting and perfect nitro. This car is ok to drive. 👍
