I never understood why fans of boxing put so much emphasis on how a fighter looks talk etc. None of us know these men personally, and i never focused on that, whats important is how they perform in the ring. More pressure is on plant then ben, but plant is going to surprise a lot of people. You not only have to be a man to step in the ring, but deal with all the criticism outside the ring. Plant gained more fans when he fought canelo. Everyone thought canelo was going to kill him, and he was gettijg dogged that fight, but afterwards he gain respect in the boxing world with real fans who looked passed how a acts looks or his personally life. And for that i have nothing but respect. All the back and forth of whos right and wrong with people i dont know isnt important, only how they perform in the ring.

I’ve really enjoyed watching both of these guys careers. That being said, David’s going to come forward, it all comes down to if Plant can gain his respect with countering and eventually getting comfortable enough to pick a spot to punch in between one of David’s combinations. Not sure if plant can stop him but he’ll definitely catch him a few times. If he sits down on his punches aka Dirrrell it will be interesting to see if Benavidez can take it. If i had to bet, I’d take Benavidez but I somewhat Plant to win. Mainly just want to see a great fight. Should be a good one.
Before watching this press conference I though Benavidez would win, which he may. However I will be rooting for Plant to KO him.
