esims are better in a way that they cannot be removed from the phone, so if your phone is stolen it can be tracked whenever it is turned on, as the esim will start a connection to the nearest tower

So eSIM will help to find your device in case of lost or stolen.
Don't go for eSim. It cannot be transferred to another headset, or even converted back to a physical SIM.

@Sandeep Sarkar I think only Jio, but it's process is complicated than others (read only once). Verify it by calling customer care.
BIGGEST ISSUE WITH E SIM IS THAT IF YOU RESET YOUR PHONE YOU LOOSE YOUR E SIM AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REAPPLY FOR A NEW E SIM !!

But it is certainly possible if the theif knows your passcode
Imagine the situation, if your phone with eSIM gets hanged or screen broken etc you would have to visit airtel/jio office just to get duplicate sim for temporary use. But present way of using physical SIM removes all those uncertainties, just switch the sim card to another phone & there u go.
Nowadays, new techs r causing furthermore issues than solving them.

I own a s20+ and my primary airtel sim is physical and 2nd sim jio is esim. Now last year i had some battery issue and gave my phone to the service center and i only got back my physical sim and memory card.. esim was with them and phone was in maintainance mode. No matter how advance phone you have. Always keep a secondary a mid budget phone as backup, keep difference sim in different phones. Life is a mystery, don't know when trouble can knock on the door.
Pls keep this mind that you without sim tray you won’t be able to change sims when travelling abroad and apko wohi sim roaming ke use karni padegi

@@prince2.22 Bcoz my daily usage of internet is around 3GB. Here we have BSNL WiFi, which gets off on many occasions for stupid reasons & also 10Mbps speed sucks.
:-I use Airtel fast 2GB/day during day & Jio's 1.5GB/day in morning & night hours
:-Airtel's speed is always above 50Mbps all the time & Jio offers better network for calling whenever I'm on the move, that's my main sim! I bought 2nd mainly for fast internet.
same here. Airtel doesn't work in village, mountain or forests as it advertised with Airtel girl & I didn't get good internet speed in Jio.
The process of converting to esim is not that easy. I had converted it and my network ( call facility) was off for 24 hours in Jio.
Once use 4 sim but nowdays mostly 1 sim b3cause recharge compulsory for every company

one thing I can share that , after activation of eSim , sms service will disabled for the first 24 hours , so keep this in mind when planning to upgrade to eSim
