Funny enough, I think that same sound plays when that one security guard gets killed by an assassin when he tries to say “hey! Freeman, right? I got a message for you, make sure you don’t-“
exactly, the first time i played this back in 2012 I felt a sense of existential dread and fear of the inevitable hearing this track and knowing what was going to happen

@@bruhmaster4207 what is it with fucking Roblox games always stealing soundtracks from Valve games?? (I know that Black Mesa isn't made by Valve, but it is still a remake of a Valve game)
Really like this one. While it preserves the sinister tone of the original it is a bit more epic while the original is down right creepy with his ominous atmosphere of the cold and industrial complex of Black Mesa.
This reminds me of the end credit song in Half Life Alyx, although in my opinion this gives me more chills. The Black Mesa Team did a really great job with this. Especially the 3rd section.
Compared to the other Black Mesa OST, these tracks convey a sense of hopelessness and dread. Not even the slightest bit of hope. Probably because it is a normal work day to you, but deep down the dread in the track lets you know something isn't right.
I was just now listening to this music when on Google Earth I zoomed in on a random tiny island off the coast of Los Angeles. I just discovered it and it's called Island Freeman.

This is the real Black Mesa theme to me.
Original much better actually.
This song is very powerful, mysterious, and scary. I'm glad that it was used in the Black Mesa incident on map video.
This perfectly encapsulates the confusion, mystique, and ultimate tragedy of the events to come...
The begining of the end...
