We have been called to serve for 23 months in the country of.....
I'm not a member of the Church, but watching videos like this, makes me want to get baptized so I can do this with my future Husband one day! Such pure joy and love coming from the whole Family!!!
Although the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints isn’t a part of my life I feel very special that we all get to experience this special moment with you all. I know how sacred this is to you and Chad and your whole family. I am not a part of the LDS church, but I am elated to see the pure joy coming from your hearts! What an incredible testament to the Lord in serving His children! Less than 4 MONTHS until you leave!!
Sadly LDS aren't really Christians rather they stray further away from traditional Christianity completely. Don't get me wrong, have nothing against Mormons as they do seem lovely but it is a cult. Mormons don't believe in the trinity the same way most Protestants and Catholics do (I also have an issue with how paganism is mixed in with Roman Catholicism and a few of their unbiblical truths). They believe we are all spirit children who were sent to earth. The early LDS church(who were actually all FLDS before there was a split) also taught that those who had darker skin were God's enemies or demonic beings which shower their racism against anyone who wasn't white. Why was that though? The man who started the cult was a white man named Joseph Smith who lived in New York. He apparently had an angel appear to him and managed to read Egyptian scrolls even though the boy wasn't educated enough and was known for story telling. He copied pieces of the bible and just reworded it while adding more nonsense including Jesus coming to the Americas after his resurrection because the natives in America are parts of the tribe of Israel. They also believe they can become gods If they do temple rituals that are very secret and unusual. Mormonism has strong links to freemasonry as well. Freemasons basically are all for Satan deep down. Once you go up the levels involved in it the more it unravels. People believe there's nothing wrong about them since they portray this caring side helping others. This is all a trick to help make more men join and give their souls to Satan. There's many faults within the LDS faith like sexual abuse etc too that aren't really brought out into light because they want to keep themselves looking good and pure. Joseph Smith also stole other mens wives because "God told me too or revealed it to him" which meant adultery. Reading the Islam cults "last true prophet" Mohammad and comparing it to LDS & FLDS' "Last true prophet" really makes it believeable how deceived they both were as well as how alike they both are throughout it. Satan is the Prince of lies remember who also betrays himself as an angel of light. Remember to be discerning, research and question everything. Believing your own testament of the church to be true based on feelings leads to a disaster. You can never trust your feelings and your heart can be deceitful.

I am not affiliated with LDS, but I have been on several short-term Christian missions in the states and Caribbean. I went on each one expecting to pour Blessings on the people I served in the name of Christ. I found very quickly that I was the one reaping the Blessings from those I was to serve. While very poor, they had a faith that I envied and had not achieved prior. It was an experience that I am eternally grateful to have fulfilled. Missions are very humbling. Bless you guys.

Congratulations! I’m from Bosnia and Herzegovina, I can assure you that you will love it so much. The country is so beautiful and the people are very welcoming. You need to visit Sarajevo, Mostar, Novi Travnik, just to name a few places.

How exciting! So sweet of you to share this moment with us all! I know how blessed your family will be while you are serving. I was a single mom for 30+ years, and I never felt the Spirit closer than during the time my daughter served (1999-2001). So glad I met you and Chad while searching for a “how-to make bread” tutorial (and still make 4 loaves of bread every other week) at the onset of COVID. I have followed you ever since, and love you both❤️. Looking forward for more posts from your mission field!

Two years ago, my husband and I visited Israel with our church (Baptist). Although I was in the Holy Land and was walking where Jesus walked, I was homesick, and we were only gone for 13 days! I can’t even imagine being away from home for two years. But I admire you for doing it, and I know you will be making a difference in many lives!

Oooh senior mission how exciting! I joined the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when i was 30! I was ready to join a mission like right then and there. I hope to one day serve a mission when I retire!

My son briefly served in Croatia in the Adriatic North Mission on his way to the Berlin Mission. He said Croatia felt like the celestial kingdom…after being in strict quarantine for several weeks in England. 💗💕

They will be gone 23 months on their mission. Most older adult couple missions are for 18 months. It was a huge surprise to Jennifer when Chad read their mission call&it was for 23months instead of 18 months. She was very surprised Chad changed it to 23 w/out telling or talking to her first! God bless them both! Lots of prayers and love for Aunt Linda too. Twenty-three months will be a long time for her not to see her brother Chad&loving SIL Jennifer. We will have to get Aunt Linda's mailing address & keep her mailbox full with postcards, letters, cards&occasionally special treats and gifts. Our love to the entire Griffith family including siblings,children&grandchildren!
Praying for you on this Journey God has called you! May he protect you both bring you home in 23 months

I can remember opening my mission call and feeling the same way nervous, excited and scared all wrapped up in 1 I remember my heart was racing a million miles a hour opening that envelope that came in the mail. I’m so exited and happy for both of you.

As a nondenominational Christian, I would be interested to hear your version of what it means to be LDS. I’ve heard you say things that align with what I would say I believe, but I know there are differences with how we each believe we are saved. I think it’d be so wonderful for your followers to hear your personal version of what you believe!
