I would buy whole lot of clothings from Vietnam or Bangladesh and export it to the U.S. it's an amazing thing to do, everything is so expensive in the U.S. in comparison to Asian countries, making it a great business model if you know the process and some people who are engaged in such activities. It's encouraging to see the market in the green, but when will we finally break even? I'm a typical retail trader who uses DCA to buy and hold stocks for decades, yet it seems like I'm up 5% today and down 17% the following week. Yes, the market is highly Darwinian; there are winners and losers, and it appears that I have been losing while others have made enormous returns of six figures in the same market. What tactics are these people employing?
@@patricktodds we’ve been in a rally for the last decade, you just gotta accept not everyone is as knowledgeable in the market to handle the opportunities a crash market presents, and unfortunately for me too, I got in 2019 right before the market’s melting point, I just hope I recover soon enough before retirement. S`tay strong. I think the market will suffer more downtrends before full recovery, esp. with the inflation, hiked interest rate and looming recession bound to happen 2023, you should understand the market is not just finance and valuation, it’s history, it’s market psychology, it’s understanding how the world moves, which is why at this point in time, it’s ideal to work with an Investment-adviser with an unparalleled track record, from first hand experience, I could say they stand a better chance than most of us ever would and it has been reflecting on my portfolio. I have an a amount a bit less than this and I am equally confused on the where and how to invest it. Currently stuck between three options stocks, franchise businesses and Real Estates. Can't seem to find the most appropriate and of utmost importance is a less time intensive option.
Why not at least two of them? Given the present economy, you should never forget to diversify. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. As one who has been into Real Estates for as long as I can remember, I made my first million earlier this year from stocks alone (got the assistance of a pro because I also have time constraints). I also experiment with a couple of other things. Hard to imagine that I had initially refused to try out new possibilities. Good luck.

I actually took $50 I had in my bank, opened a trading account and then built my own bot with ml.net and some other tools on the market for machine learning. At first it would monitor my stocks and tell me when to buy and sell and now I have it completely integrated with an interactive broker account and it runs 24/7 running a fairly conservative strategy and I am now making $7000-$10,000/week. The opportunity is out there for those with some smarts lol. Yes I am currently trying to figure out how to package and sell my stock bot. Its my next passive income project. I am 28 and grew up poor as fuck in a "middle class" household that had no clue how to properly save.

This is a conversation and should not be taken as financial advice: Bonds might keep up with inflation but not with the devaluation from quantitative easing. You're still loosing purchasing power... 20% of the US Dollar ever printed was created in the year 2020. Bank's stopped selling bonds when the treasury took over selling them directly from their website. Careful with metals, large corporations have propped up spot price then sold high flooding the market and dropping the price. (JPMorgan & aluminum some years back for example) In my opinion, an S&P 500 fund averaging 8% return would be a better start then the other two mentioned, this is assuming no other investments. If you feel strongly about personally investing in individual stocks consider DCA or dollar cost averaging in. This way if the company looses value you are lest likely to panic and sell at a loss. Never FOMO in ( Fear of Missing Out) and buy a hot stock, by the time you've picked up the tip and tried to "day trade it" you already too late. 95% of new businesses fail, venture capital investing would be after you've made ten million and feel comfortable having a million to blow. I know shark tank makes venture capital look cool, but man you are hanging in the wind. You could hold crypto and altcoins for the long term, say next 10 years. If you get into the cypto market please buy using a reputable exchange and get a cold storage device. This allows you to keep your crypto off an exchange and prevents any loss from hacking. (Mnt. Gox was hacked and a lot of money was lost) I have a cold storage and a back up cold storage with recovery passwords saved elsewhere... But that's just my two satoshi's.

I’ve attended 6 different colleges in the last 14 years where I accumulated tens of thousands in student loan debt and had to withdraw multiple times due to mental health issues. Being a landlord is a loser...costs far more than most think...risk is high too. REITs are okay but ya gotta be careful what they are based on...commercial, residential etc. And WHO put the REIT together. It is not an amateur pick. Bonds are also tricky if you get the wrong ones, same for stocks. CDs are low interest and longer term than stocks. But you can't lose your principal. Precious metals are little different than playing slots in Vegas. Index funds are fine, but which ones? Find one with no fees. The stock market is NOT for amateurs. Tesla is overbought...it's a bubble stock. 90% of businesses fail. The other 10% make you RICH. Hard work, risk, worth it? DO NOT GET INTO ANGEL INVESTING...it is for those that have disposable cash. Same for Venture funds. Bitcoin is a dumb play too. Buy art that you LIKE not what you think will appreciate. Otherwise, why bother? Franchises are usually in fast food...the BIGGEST way to fail there is. Land is fine but you do not USE land. So the cash in and the prop taxes are a recurring loss. You don't get to play in foreign markets unless you speak the language and are from there... Electric cars are a joke. 1% of all cars made. They will NEVER be prevalent until fusion energy gets here.
I don’t think the creator realizes how much a billion dollars is.. I don’t think the billionaire will ever be the new millionaire.. obtaining a million is still difficult.. wages have stayed stagnant for decades, inflation has increased exponentially… to this day, if you are frugal and know how to invest, a million dollars can sustain you for the rest of your life. Buy real estate that is income producing.. the point is to own your own time, and not be exchanging it for money.. that is the goal that very few individuals ever reach, or reach while they are young… we have a retirement crisis in the U.S. people are retiring and don’t make enough to survive and do not have enough assets to sustain themselves… yes one million doesn’t have the same value as it did 40 years ago, but you can still live off of it, if you invest wisely..

So my strategy is to acquire companies that are succeeding and carrying out their strategies, and then short companies who are missing earnings.

Why not at least two of them? Given the present economy, you should never forget to diversify. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. As one who has been into Real Estates for as long as I can remember, I made my first million earlier this year from stocks alone (got the assistance of a pro because I also have time constraints). I also experiment with a couple of other things. Hard to imagine that I had initially refused to try out new possibilities. Good luck.

You're still loosing purchasing power... 20% of the US Dollar ever printed was created in the year 2020. Bank's stopped selling bonds when the treasury took over selling them directly from their website. Careful with metals, large corporations have propped up spot price then sold high flooding the market and dropping the price. (JPMorgan & aluminum some years back for example) In my opinion, an S&P 500 fund averaging 8% return would be a better start then the other two mentioned, this is assuming no other investments. If you feel strongly about personally investing in individual stocks consider DCA or dollar cost averaging in. This way if the company looses value you are lest likely to panic and sell at a loss. Never FOMO in ( Fear of Missing Out) and buy a hot stock, by the time you've picked up the tip and tried to "day trade it" you already too late. 95% of new businesses fail, venture capital investing would be after you've made ten million and feel comfortable having a million to blow. I know shark tank makes venture capital look cool, but man you are hanging in the wind. You could hold crypto and altcoins for the long term, say next 10 years. If you get into the cypto market please buy using a reputable exchange and get a cold storage device. This allows you to keep your crypto off an exchange and prevents any loss from hacking. (Mnt. Gox was hacked and a lot of money was lost) I have a cold storage and a back up cold storage with recovery passwords saved elsewhere... But that's just my two satoshi's.

Which, for me, given the fact that I like history a lot, one might inquire to just what have might have been going on with those BCE Egyptians and the fact that their Country had lasted nearly 3k years before the Greeks or Romans showed up? Being a landlord is a loser...costs far more than most think...risk is high too. REITs are okay but ya gotta be careful what they are based on...commercial, residential etc. And WHO put the REIT together. It is not an amateur pick. Bonds are also tricky if you get the wrong ones, same for stocks. CDs are low interest and longer term than stocks. But you can't lose your principal. Precious metals are little different than playing slots in Vegas. Index funds are fine, but which ones? Find one with no fees. The stock market is NOT for amateurs. Tesla is overbought...it's a bubble stock. 90% of businesses fail. The other 10% make you RICH. Hard work, risk, worth it? DO NOT GET INTO ANGEL INVESTING...it is for those that have disposable cash. Same for Venture funds. Bitcoin is a dumb play too. Buy art that you LIKE not what you think will appreciate. Otherwise, why bother? Franchises are usually in fast food...the BIGGEST way to fail there is. Land is fine but you do not USE land. So the cash in and the prop taxes are a recurring loss. You don't get to play in foreign markets unless you speak the language and are from there... Electric cars are a joke. 1% of all cars made. They will NEVER be prevalent until fusion energy gets here.

I don’t think the creator realizes how much a billion dollars is.. I don’t think the billionaire will ever be the new millionaire.. obtaining a million is still difficult.. wages have stayed stagnant for decades, inflation has increased exponentially… to this day, if you are frugal and know how to invest, a million dollars can sustain you for the rest of your life. Buy real estate that is income producing.. the point is to own your own time, and not be exchanging it for money.. that is the goal that very few individuals ever reach, or reach while they are young… we have a retirement crisis in the U.S. people are retiring and don’t make enough to survive and do not have enough assets to sustain themselves… yes one million doesn’t have the same value as it did 40 years ago, but you can still live off of it, if you invest wisely..
Buy a commercial pad.
Then ground lease to a franchise.
