Who uses that size? Genuine question, I've never used it, mostly 19, 22 and 24mm. Heck most of the skips I don't use, only the 18 and 12mm as Toyota and ford use it. But the 18mm I only use for 2 bolts in my SN95 Mustang.
Both are made in Taiwan, facom no longer produces wrenches in france. Only screwdrivers and some pliers. The finished is called satin chrome, its the preferred chrome in Europe. All the stanley facom rebrands 440 and 441 series (usag,MAC,Craftsman, sidchrome) come from the same factory. They change the finish, lenghts and some features like antislip. This particular wrenches are standard partern, so they aren't in the "short side", you comparimg two different wrenches. The 440XL is the long pattern version, and what actually compares to the rest of the longs you purchased. The 440XL are cheap but skip sizes, got mine for 60$. You can get no skips if you buy them from MAC(precision torque), or sidchrome 440. They come 8-19mm, the bigger sizes sold separately. For RBRT technology, you need to get the Facom 441XL, MAC RBRT or Usag 285X. They are longs and non skip important sizes. Craftsman overdrive is a completely different wrench, with rbrt light 😅, to reduce the grip amd not step on the other more expensive wrenches.
@boosted2.4_sky USAG only offers 285(facom 440) and the 285X(Mac rbrt, facom 441xl). The equivalent long version is the facom 440XL, sidchrome 440, and Mac precision torque. I say this because the RBRT design is not for daily use, so if you want a daily long pattern wrench, you don't want the usag 285x.
Great looking wrenches Jeff. I like how boxed is done. When you reviewed the new V series Craftsman set I was impressed. The Facom tools I have seen reviewed are always good looking. Thanks Jeff
It's nice to see them side by side, and confirm my suspicions that they come from the same line (Yes both are from Taiwan). FACOM is one of best tool companies in Europe, so definitely for professionals. If you give them away, I'm gonna have to cross everything on my body that I possibly can in hopes of getting them. XD
after watching your Capri wrench video I thought I would mention that I have several Capri socket sets and I have to say that for the money I think they're a good deal
Hello again, Jeff Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I like the Facom wrenches. Like you I have a ton of old school Craftsman wrenches. I'm enjoying watching your videos 😆 Again thank you.
These, along with a long pattern anti slip set like Icon would make an awesome pair. I’ve drooled over this set for years now, but I’ve just never been able to justify replacing my tektons
Good looking set. Those measurements are impressive!! Same shadow around the letters, just like the Craftsman. Would be better if no skips, but not having a 9 mm and 21 mm isn't a big deal. Like those compact cases as well.
Jeff, One thing I have noticed on Facom stuff, sometimes the feel of the chrome finish , it feels like aluminum. And they make them in a wide range metric 4mm to 41mm (skip 31mm) and SAE I believe 1/4" to 1 and 1/4".
It does feel like aluminum!! its got a cool look, but not like any other satin chrome found in like Tekton,Omt!! thanks for sharing your thoughts my friend!!
I appreciate the review Jeff. There are features of both the Facom and Craftsman that I like and don't like. If you could take the best features of each wrench and make them a bit longer you'd really have something. I like the chrome better on the Craftsman, but don't care for the Craftsman laser etching. Thanks for the review.
Craftsman are made Taiwan. I picked theses up on Black Friday for $63.00. Even the Craftsman Overdrive SAE set I have are made In Taiwan. I like the Overdrive do to the long pattern. For $75.00 gun metal finish. And a RBRT design.
Nice wrenches they have somewhat of an old school look to them i wouldn't mind a set like that longer would be better in my opinion but short wrenches have their purpose also thanks for sharing Jeff take care my friend
Satin chrome tends to be more common on European tool brands like Facom, Gedore, Elora, Beta, Unior etc. American brands tend to go for more of a mirror finish. One of the things I really like about the Facom wrenches is the depth of the box end, it's almost like a low-profile socket and deeper than most wrenches. Too bad about the skipped sizes in the set - you're missing 21mm as well as 9, 20, and 23mm.
Basically the same case as the Mac and USAG too, which obviously makes sense considering the ownership. I’ve been trying to figure out if there is a Facom or USAG equivalent to the Mac Precision Torque. I know USAG has their equivalent to the RBRT. Oh! The Mac lacks that weird shadow mark you and I have chatted about on here. I suspect it’s because the letters are a depression rather than being raised (whether stamped in or machined, I’m unsure) And I’m sure they’re all made in Taiwan considering the price point.
Yes lots of these sets are very close in apperence and fit and finish!! there all popular as well with professionals!! thanks for joining in my friend!!
First comment. It seems if you buy mac or usag you get the same wrench it seem if you buy craftsman or facom you get the same wrench they're all made in the same factory but if you want the long beam you have to go mac or usag
Satin chrome in Europe is sign of good quality tools, while polished chrome is (was?) sign of cheap products. Maybe that is why Facom as European brand is satin, while Craftsman as USA brand is polished. Meanwhile, both are made in the same factory 😊
Great looking set of wrenches! SB&D has taken a page from their former competitor, and neighbor, New Britain Machine Co. New Britain owned and manufactured several brand tools. They all looked quite similar to one another with minor differing finishes and details. This Facom set is virtually identical to the Craftsman V Series. Why does SB&D skip important sizes in the V Series, yet the Facom set is complete with the exception of the 9mm? The USAG sets are also complete. Facom is sold in France and USAG is sold in Italy. SB&D has also failed in marketing the V Series. My local Ace Hardware, Lowe's and NAPA stores carry Craftsman, yet none of them sell the V Series. The V Series is supposedly Craftsman's top of the line tool aimed at the professional technician. Like them or not, Harbor Freight is killing it with the ICON line. No skip sets of fairly decent quality at a reasonable price that is readily available. I feel that SB&D is missing out on an opportunity to go toe to toe with Harbor Freight. Harbor Freight is filling the void that Sears left behind.
Price and car manufacturer target. facom/usag also offer the same set, down to the skipped sizes. They want to come in at a lower price. For the most part, people will get by.
Boy lieser you hit the head on the nail!! the v-series is hard to find, only see them on amazon,go figure!!harbor freight is getting better and better!!! thanks lieser!!!
Skips in general always do more harm then good!! i think to keep it at a certain price point they do it,along with they just think its not inportant or sized that used much, just my 2¢s!!
If not USA Craftsman, then I don’t want’em , just doesn’t sit with me well and I know for a fact they are not as good. So, NOPE to this skipo, cheapo, junk look alikes. You have shown plenty that are better and don’t cost as much, with no skips.
The set skips 21mm as well, sorry for the miscue!!
Who uses that size? Genuine question, I've never used it, mostly 19, 22 and 24mm. Heck most of the skips I don't use, only the 18 and 12mm as Toyota and ford use it. But the 18mm I only use for 2 bolts in my SN95 Mustang.
Looks like a keeper thanks Jeff
Thanks my friend as always!!

USAG sells a longer set in this style also..for ~$160..

I think they manufacture Milwaukee as well.
I believe they make Milwaukee as well.
@@shadow7796 Milwaukee wrenhes are manufactured by infar.
The offset where beam meets box seems like a good idea.
I really thing thats a neat design!!! thanks bacon!!
Thanks for the comparison video I just ordered the 15pc. Craftsman version for 40 bucks on sale from Ace Hardware.
Hi joe let me know if you like them!!!
I've been thinking about getting a set of those facoms. Be a handy little set to throw in the truck or the tractor
There nice design!! a little on the short side but would be good in most situations!! thanks for taking a gander my friend!!
Great looking wrenches Jeff. I like how boxed is done. When you reviewed the new V series Craftsman set I was impressed. The Facom tools I have seen reviewed are always good looking. Thanks Jeff
Another good choice my friend!!
Thanks for the video on this FACOM set, Jeff! Greatly appreciate this series. Some look very similar to each other.
Yea they do Bruce!! lots of rebranding going on in the tool world!!!
Good looking wrench, thanks for sharing

Thanks for taking a gander my friend!!

Hello again, Jeff
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I like the Facom wrenches. Like you I have a ton of old school Craftsman wrenches. I'm enjoying watching your videos 😆 Again thank you.

I hope you like them, let me know after using them, thanks my friend!!
These, along with a long pattern anti slip set like Icon would make an awesome pair.
I’ve drooled over this set for years now, but I’ve just never been able to justify replacing my tektons
These are pretty nice wrenches,no doubt!! thanks my friend for joining in!!
Great video! I hope you are going to do a series on sockets.
Yes i will my friend!!!
I need a good set of shorter combo wrenches. I want to find a good deal on a set of the I-beam style like those.
Hi shadow its always good to have options!! the shorter beem could be helpful in certain situations!!!
Good looking set. Those measurements are impressive!! Same shadow around the letters, just like the Craftsman. Would be better if no skips, but not having a 9 mm and 21 mm isn't a big deal. Like those compact cases as well.
Thanks for taking a gander my friend!! they are quality sets!!

Yes my freind Taiwan!!
Nice wrenches, Ilike the box end as well. Like you, I have more wrenches than I can use, so I'll pass on these but if I needed wrenches, I' buy them.
I hear ya uncle!! ill be giving away alot of wrench sets, lol!! thanks my friend!!!
That's a very good looking set! I still wish it didn't skip sizes though....
Hi barry i think we all can agree with that!! thanks for taking a gander!!!
I also got the new craftsman wrenches for review but the other set they sell. Overdrive series.
Overdrive is a nice set!! i have to take a look my friend, thanks!!
Nice wrenches they have somewhat of an old school look to them i wouldn't mind a set like that longer would be better in my opinion but short wrenches have their purpose also thanks for sharing Jeff take care my friend

Im not sure my friend!!! i should see what i can find!!

Skipping 21 is kinda dumb. Otherwise, they seems great.
Skips in general always do more harm then good!! i think to keep it at a certain price point they do it,along with they just think its not inportant or sized that used much, just my 2¢s!!
Bummer the skips & short length
Yea the length is short!! the skips are always a bummer as well!!
They used to be made in France, but they are made in Taiwan now.
Thanks victor for the info!! stay tuned!!
The 40 series were made in France,I don't think the 440 series were made in France,I might be wrong though.
Both really nice wrench sets. I think I’ve seen that they have tested well for other UA-camrs.
Solid choices my friend!! thanks for checking in!!
Nothing cool to show us? Jeff, we’ve seen your toolbox, a ton of cool stuff in there. lol.
Hi louis yea i think most tools are cool, lol!!
If not USA Craftsman, then I don’t want’em , just doesn’t sit with me well and I know for a fact they are not as good. So, NOPE to this skipo, cheapo, junk look alikes. You have shown plenty that are better and don’t cost as much, with no skips.
I hear ya marc!! it hard to get over what happend to craftsman tools no doubt,it sucks!!!! thanks marc!!
Nice comparison Jeff.
Thanks my friend!!
