Stopping in Forster for a night on my way from GC back home to melbourne. Only just getting into fishing, so very much only a beginner. suggestions on where to throw a line in? Cheers!🍻
The water along memorial drive and little street in Forster is nice and easy to access and pretty simple fishing. Otherwise the breakwall and boat harbor hold more fish, but can be a touch more difficult with tides and current
I’m down in Forster for the next week hoping to do some landbased fishing and would love to get into a big flathead as I’ve never gotten one over 50cm. I’m going to mostly be around Forster keys any bait and lure recommendations. I have also brought the lures you gave me a few videos back any spots you recommend to use them would Forster keys be good ? 2-4kg rod 6 pound line and a 2500 reel
The keyes are fishing pretty consistently at the moment, but most are on the smaller side. I'd concentrate on the sandy sections near the boat ramp and the north and south entrances. Darker colours and greens have been working well for lures
💥 really amazing !! well done
Thanks 😊
Same in Crowdy mate. It will probably take few more weeks when the weather is warmer.
Fingers crossed this warm weather fires them up early

What would be the best lure and best time to fish Forster keys
I'd look at fishing the change of tides and using small shrimp or paddle tails in the motor Oil or watermelon red colours
