'Nothing is working': Sheriff on House voting down GOP border bill | NewsNation Prime

- While the U.S. House approved a huge foreign aid package, it voted down a separate bill for border security proposed by GOP leaders. The bill which would've required asylum seekers to remain in Mexico and the building of former President Trump's border wall, was voted down 215 to 199. This rejection comes as migrant encounters at the southern border have already surpassed 1.3 million for fiscal year 2024.
Sheriff Mark Daniels of Cochise County, Arizona, reacts to the news and says it is frustrating.

Yes, the new bill would help process asylum seekers -speed up process, but since σBIDEN is in control of hiring the new 4,300 asylum officers, we know he would specifically pick officers who would approve more people to have asylum/citizenship so he can get their votes. Yes, overall that would reduce the amount of people who are caught and released but on the flipside, we would have more people rushed into getting asylum approved and becoming citizens, when officials say 80-90% don’t qualify to begin with.

I also disagree with how President Biden responded to the southern border. This was predicted to continue, yet did not seek financial aid. If we enlisted the UN to build refugee camps on federal land in Mexico, the US and Canada. To better facilitate relocation and assimilating them into their new countries. This would ease the individual financial burden, and protect the asylees and countries of destination. The almost totality of asylees are perfectly harmless. But we CAN NOT let this be a US government project. Republicans would inevitably use it to commit genocide. It has to be a UN project, especially since it is a multinational, multi jurisdiction, humanitarian problem in the first place.
The problem is the U.N. and their compact of migration!
