Love how one of the ravens is named Baldrick. Nice little Blackadder reference, given it's Mr Fry who gets to read out this list.
Why so many offensive ads and BS propaganda from UA-cam?
Has the google somehow misplaced all that personal information they collected about me?
No, I think the EVIL google is deliberately trying to offend me with those ads.
@@ShannonJacobs0 um... wut?
How the hell is it a Blackadder reference when the Krays were there 30 years before Blackadder was even a thing?
@@Unleashed75 Read the first sentence: "Love how one of the ravens is named Baldrick". A fact that Lord Fry himself brought up.
and Muninn but no Huginn. Presumably one died :(
i could listen to Fry's Story Time all day long
I always loved it when Stephen fry told stories . .
He forever has pride of place in my ultimate dinner party guest list
No doubt!
here before the typo in the title is corrected
Same!
We're is the typo?
Weir all confused.
Ware was the typo?
Where was the typhoo?
That title typo... 🤣
To be fair, I dream of doing that when someone tries to pinch a chip off my plate.
Tom Hardy was brilliant playing both of them in the movie......
Incredible actor just wish the directing was a bit better
My favourite bit.... Ronnie dancing at the house party to "then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like I love you" 😂😂😂 Don't know what it is but that bit cracks me up. He looks like someone's sweet loving Uncle...for 5 minutes... 🤣
"I got a joke for ya a paranoid schizophrenic walks into a bar "
Honestly astonishing that Stephen Fry wouldn't know Huginn and Muninn, trying to pronounce the former rather French. :D
This is like the first time I've seen Stephen not know something lmao
First time around I actually missed Huginn and was about to comment how odd it is to only have one of Odin's ravens
Why?
Where?
The Kray Twins??
In the Tower of London???
🤔🤨😮😯😟😧😩
I wish they would have closed caption available
Perhaps, UA-cam Studio in the UK functions differently than UA-cam Studio in the US. But assuming that subtitles function the same in the UK and the US, UA-cam Studio _automatically_ creates a transcript using voice recognition and _automatically_ publishes it.
Therefore, it seems to me that the channel administrators are spending time _unpublishing_ the automated transcript.
But, I could be wrong, or there could be a very good reason for removing the subtitles.
Sandi is, of course, brilliant. But she's not an actor like Stephen. She can't tell a story or an anecdote like Stephen can, nor can she do voices like him. Mr Fry will always be The Lord of QI to me.
You misspelled the title, it should read Why Where The Khray Thwins Ihn The Thower Ohf Lhondon? | QhIh.
Description title:
“Why WHERE the Krays…..”
C’mon QI….Stephen would be appalled
Should have taken his picture as he sat in a bloody daze by the piano, really.
My thought exactly!
and the typo is still there 7 months later
The Krays don't get enough credit for their advancement of LGBTQ+ rights.
What's this, the four Yorkshiremen?
Who why where when were the Kray twins what?
Haven't you seen Monty Pythons Flying Circus documentary on the Dinsdale brothers?
and Noddy!
How do i find the full length episodes of the older shows?
Type in qi full episodes on UA-cam and they all pop up
You used the wrong spelling of were in the title
What happened to the QI set??
why *were
why where? Are you sure this is the QI official channel?
Ngl, they were quite attractive in their youth
What was the bleep?
The first bleep was for "fucking", the second was for " cunt".
UA-cam is rather prudish and doesn't like people saying "fuck".
Since everyone in the comments is apparently confused:
- The Kray twins were infamous violent gangsters in London
- David Puttnam is a film producer who produced Chariots of Fire (the film with the famous 'inspirational' Vangelis music theme)
- David Bailey is a photographer who was known for documenting/influencing the 'swinging sixties' scene and took a famous portrait of the Kray twins
- Summary of the story at the end; David Bailey and Reggie Kray were in a pub (basically a bar), a drunk guy recognised Bailey and started hassling him to take a photo of him, Reggie punched him and seriously injured him, the drunk guy and his friend ran away, Bailey called Reggie out on it (sidenote: 'tosser' is a slightly milder version of the insult 'wanker' - both mean 'a person who masturbates'), everyone in the pub went silent cuz Bailey had just yelled at a violent gangster, then Reggie just smiled and admitted he'd been thinking about punching the drunk man earlier anyway because he'd been stealing Reggie's sandwiches
Thanks friend 🙂
"Why Where The Kray Twins In The Tower Of London?" Because There The Kray Twins In The Tower of London!
were* they're*
@@JohnyG29 Joke's gone right over your head, mate...
The last thing I understood was that the ravens in the tower had strange names, even by en_UK standards. "Separated by a common language" indeed!
They're not that strange. The current ravens are: Jubilee, Harris, Gripp, Poppy, Erin, Georgie, Edgar & Branwen.
@@decodolly1535 I wish I were on a first-name basis with ravens :)
I assume some part of this made sense for British people?
The Krays were an infamous pair of crime bosses who scared London into submission.
Perfect sense, thanks.
Can someone translate this into English, especially the last story about a photograph and a mirror?
The typo is still there, almost an hour later. Too many local cultural references for me to follow along with what this is about.
3 hours now. Based on the constant errors of spelling and grammar on the BBC News website, I've decided to view it as a guarantee that this is an official BBC channel.
It says it’s the official channel right there in the About tab.
@@AndrewTBP Sarcasm lost on you I see.
Coz they was Kray Kray, innit
Hit a like if you spot the title typo
How very British!
Or, in Australian... [eye-roll] Bloody weird pommy bastards.
You guys came from there.
