Iowa trooper survives tornado in squad car, helps other storm victims

Iowa State Patrol Trooper Dustin Pieken became was caught in the path of the large Minden tornado Friday. Fortunately, he survived, but his patrol car suffered damage.
As you can see in the photo, Trooper Pieken utilized whatever he had in order to make a temporary window and continuing his night shift by helping the victims of the catastrophic tornado.
He spoke to Fox Weather, our affiliate, about the encounter.
