POV Drumming-Playing In The Pocket

This is a quick POV drumming video of me playing in the pocket. I just bought some new camera gear, and I wanted to test out the chest strap. It was pretty sturdy, and allowed me to film a POV video of myself playing the drums. I plan on doing more POV videos in the future, but I will figure out how to get the absolute best angle before trying it out again!

If only there was some sort of technology that could help keep time - some sort of precise machine that produced a sound or light on each beat at a given tempo that we could play along to... Call me unorthodox, but I just think something like that may help prevent drummers from ripping the pocket at the seams like in the example here.

That was pretty cool! I was thinking about playing an instrument since I really do love music and want it to be a part in my life, but I'm not sure what instrument to play. My first guess would be the drums since I really like techno, EDM, Jazz, and any music genre or song with good beats in it. I have a couple of questions for you if you wouldn't mind. Firstly, if I have never played an instrument in my life before, would the drums be a good starting point? I don't like the guitar because of all the chords and such, and I feel that the drums is a challenging yet rewarding instrument. I'm fifteen years old by the way, if that makes any difference. Also, when did you begin drumming? My ultimate goal with drumming would be to do it for fun, but if I could join a band and be successful, that would be unreal; probably since it doesn't happen for most people.
