The place to start is with the axle. Have the whole thing weighed, and get an axle that will handle that weight. Then you match the spring to the axle. I think you shouldn't have that much weight on a single axle. You are going to be setting yourself up for disaster. One sway away from a very bad ending.
@@Goodellsam well we got it weighed a few weeks ago. But I’m trying to get my dad to get the axle changed to a six lug but he won’t listen to me. I’m a few hundred pounds over my limit so I have to upgrade my axle. My friend Nick has it worse with his project. His is a bit different, but it’s overloaded more than mine.
