Sold. I've watched, what feels like, hundreds of QX50 vids... ...I am finally sold on black on black. Why? It drives so damn well. It's a luxurious beast. 325hp is just ridiculously attractive in this segment. ...as much as people say this needs an update, and it really does, I am worried that infinity might turn it into a weak little toaster with ugly design lines a la Lexus nx. Anyhow, thanks for the cool review. Good stuff!
It is and so true about their new 4 banger engines. I'm a bit disappointed. I have a FX37 which I love so much but I'm thinking to get one of these specially since they have stretched it and I also miss my G37X and this car basically a crossover version of that car. Excellent choice man. You can't beat the value in this car.
Couldn't bring myself to anti up for the Macan last time around. Settled on the QX50 and after 40k miles still loving the experience. Retro look is fine, comfort and performance are tops.
I love the look and style of these infinitis so much more than almost every other suv. ever since I saw that vettel eau rouge edition. definately much better looking than the acura and lexus ...
It's a clean look and functional. It could be the F-Pace's infotainment system that has defects, shutting the whole vehicle down. It could be the Mercedes or BMW's screen, sitting up high and out there like it doesn't know where its place is, looking like an afterthought, resting up on the dash. When it's a nice look I have no apprehensions about it looking the same as it has in the past.
This car has made nice improvements, but always has had a great classic sports car shape, similar to some Porsches. Change is not always good and Lexus is a great example of that. Having been a Lexus driver for 12 years before the current grille, I refuse to buy one that looks like it has a train's cattle scoop on the front of it, as Lexus does. And this says nothing of the horsepower difference that the NX lacks. I'm also good with this dash and infotainment. Nothing wrong with it. Looking forward to my "fun to drive" vehicle and will be smiling all the way to the bank, not spending $20K more for the Porsche Macan.
A 2016 car in a 2015 video, this can't be possible.
A crossover that you can get RWD, hydraulic steering, and power to actually go, at this price?! The QX50 is such a great choice!

The "Skyline Crossover" as it is called in Japan. A driver's crossover.

Sweet ride! I'm getting one!

Bought one for the wife , can not believe how fun to drive this car is to drive ...powerful
They don't sell many wagons or hot hatches in the US, so with more rear leg room it's a good alternative to a tippy crossover that handles like mud.
Dang fun to drive, still feels and performs new at 45k miles.
All they got to do is update it with the q50 interior.
Wait so Infiniti's sports sedan and coupe got drive-by-wire but their crossover gets hydraulic power steering? My brain is full of fuck.
+GadgetsNGear Only the Q50 has their drive by wire steering.
What type of fuel injection does this 2016 model have?
Just regular fuel injection.
Only port fuel injection, so you get mediocre fuel economy. However, you also don't get the carbon build up like you would with direct fuel injection.
Really hate infinity's naming set up now
Noticed no mention of gas mileage
20 mpg
The interior is the only thing holding this car back. It looks ANCIENT for 2015.

Spoiler: this is not a balanced review or anything like that, it's a video brochure.
Shame, indeed. Those GTs are gross.
car looks the same as before... change it up lol don't be afraid, Lexus NX looks better
No it does not.
Exactly! Lexus NX looks so weird!
