I have GOT to get one of these. Jerry's tones on Shakedown/Reuben & Cherise/Fire on the Mountain are like my favorite tones of all time. The qTron is a good pedal but THIS is something special.
I have this pedal but for some reason it doesn’t seem as synthesized as this one, it’s like it’s at half-funk. wondering if i’m plugging my power supply into an undesirable outlet or something or if i should just take it to get it looked at
Nice demo! How is the funk scene in Austin? I need to find a place with funk drummers, horn players & key players. I’m sick of trying to teach rock players how to play funk.
This is one of the best funk videos I've ever seen on youtube, can I get similar sounds with the q tron or is this one that little bit special ? Hard to find these in Europe or especially Ireland where I am
You can get some nice sounds with the Qtron. I used to have one of the big metal box ones when they first came out. They do sound similar but the Mu-Tron has a richer, sweeter sweep. Also the Q tron was a little bit noisier. You can't go wrong with either! Also there was a pedal called the 3Leaf Proton that sounds really good too. Good luck and stay funky my friend =)
I have one of these and use it for bass when i play which is getting to be less and less. I was asked to sell it today and considered the thought. So i plugged my yamaha trb 6 in and played through it. Nothing touches this pedal! I feel like if i sell it i may be makeing a yuuuuge mistake even though its collecting dust. What to do?....
The circuit uses a bi-polar power supply via 2 x 9v batteries or a bipolar power supply. You would have to find a power supply made for this unit complete with old style 3 prong connector. I bought one years back someone made for the Mu-Tron III. Good luck!
BAHAHAHA! Thanks for the “suggestion” but I hope you never watch any of my other videos or Instagram posts den. I will be sure to give you some feedback on your videos once you upload a couple more. Thanks for watching! =)

I can see why these things are so expensive. My god, that is beyond spectacular.
Behringer just advertised a clone version
@@xntricity6446 Yes!
Many years ago I had one I used with a Univox Electric Piano. Great effect. Like many other things it disappeared a long time ago.
You inspired me to go buy one. I’m a synth guy and producer but also noodle with guitars. I was lucky to find an OG with PS1. Thanks bro!
Congrats! have 2 vintage models myself 😊
I never used the Mutron 3. But will never part from my Mutron V. Thanks or sharing. I used it mostly on Bass guitar as well as my Tele.
Real Music 4 you Thanks for watching!
Bought one of these in high school (1977), left it in my garage until it was covered in cobwebs and sold it about 20 years ago for $30. Ugh
Ever try using your Strat volume Knob to trigger the effect? Also, Try it with an Ebow.
You can open the back and dial it in more there.
It's got little fader knobs back there

What to do?....
Don't sell it. It's becoming more rare and nothing is better.
i would love to buy if you decide to sell
Thinking about investing in one of these
Is this battery operated or can you use a power cable?

Shay Barenholtz Thanks!
For the clean sound are you using a compressor? Or is that just the mu tron iii?
No compressor. Thanks for watching.

Hey, so you said you had to buy a “special” power supply... what’s special about it?
It's a +/-9V, rather than straight 18v
Also miT… Tim Mahoney uses these…
Don't say 'yo yo yo'. Just don't.
