Very useful & well presented with clear instruction. Thank you! I love the skirt & the lining is so pretty you could wear it inside out under a long top!
You can add an a line skirt lining to it or you can sew a lining directly to the pleated fabric or you can pleat a lining and sew it into the waistband. Happy Sewing.
You would do the same thing as this skirt with tracing out the pattern pieces. Also check out this video on adding a lining to a dress ua-cam.com/video/tiTQn7GdNo4/v-deo.html
Thank you 😊 The process can be involved with bigger garments but it’s the same concept. Just always add seam allowance & make sure your pattern pieces fit together & it will work out :)
Question....on the darts...why did you add an inch on the waist...I understand adding to make up for the dart, but why didn't you add 1/5 inch to either side of the dart? By adding 1 inch on the outside edge, doesn't that move the dart 1/5 to the center?
Thank you!!
Totally. This is such a useful skill to have.
Your outfit is “all business on the top” and “Wonder Woman” on the bottom. ❤
lol 😂 🎀❤️✨ Thank you for watching today.
I was after an easy to follow video for attaching lining and found it. Clear explanation! Thank you!
You're very welcome!

You make everything look so easy!!!
What about lining a PLEATED skirt?
You can add an a line skirt lining to it or you can sew a lining directly to the pleated fabric or you can pleat a lining and sew it into the waistband. Happy Sewing.
Great!! Another excellent and informative lesson.. Thanks
Just what I needed, thank you for doing this.
I'm glad I could help! Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to see on my channel.
Wow, great tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching 💕
Thank you for this video! So useful. What sort of lining material would be comfortable to use especially for summer
I would use a bemburg or a rayon or even cotton. It depends on what your self fabric is.
Really good presentation. I'm going to use your method to add an overlay to a skirt!
Great idea! What kind of fabric are you working in?
Do you have a video showing how to add a lining to a store-bought dress? I’m new to sewing but have some dresses which really need to be lined.

Your makeup came out super cute. ❤ I was thinking about doing this to a thin jacket years ago, good to know how to solve it next time it happens.

@@SewAnastasia can I put in a request for sheer tights?
Nice video. Could you someday show how to pattern a coat to add a swing back? Thanks again for your simple-to- understand videos.
I will add it to my list! I love sewing coats
Very easy to understand.
Glad to hear that
Definitely subscribe! 🥰
Welcome to the Sew Anastasia fam! 😊
Brilliant tutorial ❤😊
Thanks for watching :)
I wonder if this skirt was made when wearing slips was the norm? Any idea on the age of the skirt?
Great question. I have no idea of it’s age. It was handmade but from the fabric & the button used I would say 80s at the earliest.
Good job
Thank you 😊
