Instead of a label, print out a list of the contents and place that inside the bag facing out. I do that with all my storage containers and use a pen when removing an item ( 4 widgets instead of 5) till I can print off an updated list. Hand written notes on a list also is a quick way to know something need to be restocked.
Nice job Cliff. You have really gone the Honey direction in all your recent IFAKs. I need to try it. One trick I learned from an ER doc (not USNERDOC!!) for a wilderness first aid dressing was to irrigate the wound thoroughly, then apply steri-strips without bunching the skin, apply a swab of Ticture of Benzoin (very sticky) in a rectangle pattern around the wound (size of next item) and then put a Tegaderm dressing over it. This will allow you to keep the wound area watertight (sealed outer shell) and still look at it regularly for healing or any infection. This will allow staying in the wilderness/trip longer and potentially still get stitches later if needed or reirrigate if any infection occurs. These four items (irrigation syringe, steristrips, Tincture of Benzoin, Tegaderm along with piece of 2x2 gauze to clean the wound area will all fit in a 3x6 bag. Best for your main First Aid kit.
+Gerry Fitzpatrick Great comment, Gerry! Yeah, I've been using Manuka honey in a lot of my kits now due to the large variety of use cases it has and that it is edible. I like that it always stays good too, even if the package is punctured. Burn Gel will dry out. I agree with the irrigation strategy! If I could find a slim solution I would include one in these kits. I love your recommendations. Thanks again, Gerry.
Congratulations to Torben Linnemann Nielsen, KagamiTracer and BigDirtyBasterd! You each have won a Mini Medi 2.0 iFAK. Torben and Kagami won because they mentioned that they were going to be given to students, which I thought was really cool as I know students are on a tight budget. BigDirtyBasterd won because his comment made me laugh. Thank you for EVERYONE who commented on that video! Sorry for the delay in announcing the winners. We've been dealing with a sick baby the past several days and I haven't been as active on UA-cam. Baby Prepper is feeling much better now. I know that many of you expressed interest in these Mini Medi 2.0 kits. Please THUMBS UP this comment if you would like me to look into creating a co-op for this particular project that would allow me to make a mass bulk order to create 100+ Mini Medi's (with refills) for those of you that would like one. Perhaps I could organize a “Prepper Party” with local Preppers who could help me assemble these, with beer and food provided for their services. Again, thank you everyone for supporting my various projects. It is really flattering and I am extremely humbled with the worldwide support I have been getting for my preparedness projects. It really helps make the late night hours creating this projects and videos totally worth it. Thank you so much. ~Cliff
+TheUrbanPrepper Thank you, Cliff! I'm bummed I didn't win a kit but we are ALL winning with the information and knowhow you share with us in your videos. From one dad to another I thank you and I hope for much health in the future for you and your growing family.
I have change my life style since watching ur videos. I was never a prepper or a edc guy but now i am father i have worked hard to my sure my family is prepared at all times thank you
I really like the way this kit follows my same philosophy of use. As a full-time stay-at-home dad to three (for over nine years now), I like how this kit addresses the more common, and realistic, situations one encounters in their day-to-day. Ninety-five percent of the time I don't need Quick Clot, I don't need a CAT, I (hopefully) don't need a face shield, but these items are things I do and have needed day-to-day. I'm certainly going to look over your list of items and adjust my EDC kit accordingly. Well done.
my family used to poke fun at me because I cary a large purse (until they need something) for instance my son had a ripped pocket on his jacket in church so pulled out my sewing kit and quickly fixed it. that cpr mask is something that I have not thought of adding to my first aid kit. I learn something new everyday. thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
+Charlene Cummings I can relate! I am always getting made of fun of from friends and family. I also get heckled if I happen NOT to have a particular item on me. It goes with being a prepper I suppose. I think it is very cool that you are the MacGyver of your family and friends! :)
Nice little kit! I think it's awesome that you put together your own med kits even if there super small, so you can tailor them to your needs and not get screwed on the price! Good job
Urban Prepper my family and I love to watch your videos. We got into prepping while watching your vids. Love the idea of these kits will be adding to my kit and edc. Thanks for all the great videos and all your great ideas and items. Keep up the great work and keep making these videos. Take Care
What a great idea for some first aid kits! I like the fact that these are in dry bags, as well. I bet there are lots of different dry bag options, too that people can come up with. But this overall concept is really awesome. Love it. Thank you for another well thought-out video!
Thanks for the demo and contest. I sometimes will make a short-term individual first aid kit from the first aid cabinet at a business where I work. It often times include small individual dosages of antibiotic, ibuprofen, Band-Aids, etc.
Love the new and improved mini-medi! I spend about 3 hours a day in my car and really find your videos helpful. You inspired me to focus on things i will actually use.
After watching so many videos and seeing mini-boo-boo kits that are quite poor, your kits are a breath of fresh air. You have clearly put some thought into the kit and use only high quality items. As a former EMT, I have the knowledge and experience to recognize the difference. yours is a mini-kit I would carry in my EDC messenger any day. Keep up the good work. Cheers!
I appreciate your real life practicality & pdf lists. I'm the type that has organizers for my organizers but my small medi-kit needed some attention & the video & list is what it needed.
Im impressed ive followed you since the altoid 1.0 vid and i am so surprised at how awesome and better prepared you get you have inspired me to be an URBAN PREPPER
Cool upgrade. I made some mini medi kits last year and gave them to family and friends. I need to make some more for the additional bags and for a few more people. Thanks always for your helpful and informative videos. I enjoy your structured and analytical approach.
This Mini-medi is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. Regular first aid kits do not fit in my pockets. I have been looking for something small enough to truly carry everyday. I really enjoy your videos. I have been lurking for quite some time.
Great video. Many people spend a lot of time overthinking these things and if you start with something simple like this, you will carry it. If you try and cram everything in the world into an IFAK, you will quickly get it to a point where you won't carry it and of course the best tool is the one you have with you. Appreciate all of your thought and work that goes into your videos and appreciate you always providing descriptions and links too. Great job as always!
I really dig your modular approach to EDC and prep-it's so sensible and well thought out. The videos give good explanations. For a city girl like me, your reviews make a lot of sense. Thanks for continuing your series!
Thanks for including the PDF's in your video's it really helps! I download them all when you have them and reference them to compare to what I have in my bags. Great Video! You always produce excellent videos with a wealth of information. Always look forward to your videos!
I only recently came across the idea of EDC and this has fast become one of my favourite channels. As a beginner I'm finding it very informative and really appreciate the effort you put into making the videos and the accompanying pdf files.
Hi! I'm 16 years old boy who loves adventures. I am training sports shooting and when i'm not I ride my Mountain Bike. I've even climbed with a friend a peak called Cherni vruh i'ts in Bulgaria. The point is that almost everything i do has risk and danger in it so I would be glad to own this kind of mini kit, because especially when riding I don't have space for big, bulky first aid kits. Thank you even for reading this i appreciate what you are doing and have had inspiration for some of my kits.
Hey TUP I started watching your channel after watching the altoid edc kits and you really got me into prepping. I had already built a bug out bag but your videos helped me make it a lot better.
Watching you put those three kits together was oddly satisfying! Another great video, I like your recent medical preparedness interest. I am learning a ton!
Great video. Such a good reminder that we all should have a first aid kit handy for life's little mishaps. And my wife's a nurse so it would blow her socks off if one of these came in the mail.
I have made many of these little first aid kits. Great idea and they can be stored anyplace. I also like your upgrade to the plastic pouch. I bought those little craft plastic pouches. Had problems with sealing them. They seemed to sometimes open up on their own.
I was watching you Urban EDC Backpack video from last year and was thinking what kind of crazy person carries all of that stuff around with them and then you got to the medical equipment and realised that its crazy people like you that will save somebodies life someday.
I always enjoy your first aid/medical kit videos because you put so much thought into them. For me, medical/first aid is still the weakest link in my preps... but your videos have helped me a lot in deciding what products to keep on hand.
Well once again TUP wins the internet with his edc.....and now I bow.....nice video man thanks for sharing with the UA-cam community and helping others build their system up or start one out
I've been waiting for this video for a long time. Considering it's such a small package, I tend to make a bunch of different purpose ones and throw them in my pocket or bag. They also seem to have become popular among my friends who don't prep since its an easy way to carry a bit of relief without being messy or bulky.
Great video! I like that by researching and finding the latest and greatest medical gear you have created a pocket sized kit that can handle a ton of different medical issues. Keep up the great videos Urban Prepper!
Awesome video! I have adopted the version 1.0 and I have it everywhere. My wife always forgets to change it to the purse she will be using so I ended putting one in every purse she has. This version 2.0 is way better so I should upgrade all my kits now.
I love watching your videos. Very complete, and I’ve learned a lot from watching them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I’ve added some of your ideas to my EDC. It’s in its early stages, but my purse is packed!! I need to get a back pack or something now. Again thanks.
Thanks for sharing. I will have to upgrade my own "mini-medi" to incorporate some of your great ideas. I would suggest including some thin thread or strong floss- has lots of uses. My favorite is that it can save a finger by helping you remove your wedding ring if you jam a digit and it starts to swell.
I'm so happy to have found your videos. I live on the puget sound, so your channel in particular helps when it comes to prepping on my own. My favorite item in this mini medi is the manuka honey, so versatile. Keep up the great work.
That BloodStop stuff looks like a good item. I will definitely have to check into it for my family first aid kit, and EDC IFAK. You've mentioned the Manuka Honey before, so this time I made sure to write it down so I can check into it. I appreciate the organization you provide.
hey this is a great video and I've been watching them for ages now. I'm a teenager who loves to prep and I love to get my family into prepping with me. and so far because of your appeal to urban enviroments it was less intimidating for me to start this hobby. thanks for all these videos
Love your mini medi kits! I just got all the supplies for your older version and started to make them. My first give away was to someone who rides a Harley to keep in his saddlebag. But I think your new bags would hold up a lot better in the heat on the bike. I bought Manuka honey in a jar from Trader Joes. I'm thinking of putting it into a small cut up straw and seal the edges. Don't know how that will work but the individual ones sound expensive. I look forward to all your videos! Best on UA-cam! Thx!
I love your videos! I too am a prepper and I use your advice/organization tactics in all of my bags/EDC. I the mini medi's are a great idea, you never know when you'll need it. Again thanks for the useful information
Great job! I love your ideas, I've got a similar kit I keep in my car, just a lot more extensive. Only things I would consider adding is one larger band aid, especially since you have kids. As much as we all hate for it to happen, it's bound to happen when someone scrapes a knee or an arm. Also maybe consider putting a pair of tweezers inside. I use mine all the time with splinters. Keep up the great work!
Very precise and informative. I really enjoy watching "the process" and the evolution of your kits. It shows that you have used them and found what does and does NOT work. Even it is is simply the container they were held in, that is a crucial part of the kit. I think that size/type of IFAK would fit great in a pocket organizer.
The video is great love your content and hope you never stop. I also love seeing K.P. in you videos. It is good we have influences like you teaching the next generation. Thank you for the great content!
I love your first aid videos. I learn so much cool stuff from them. I was not familiar with manuka honey so now I am off to research that. Keep up the great videos. Thanks!
Good posting! I keep Prep H Totables (individual wrapped towelettes) in my first aid kits. It has witch hazel in it! Witch hazel will cool down any abrasion no matter how many million nerve endings are screaming. Keep up the good work.
Nice video, as always. Nice kit too! I like the items you included a lot. Very well thought out. I also like that you included the CPR face shield, and the modern wound dressing. It's like a Mini Medi Plus. :) The upgrade to the LokSaks was a good move too.
Woo hoo! Sweet upgrades sir! My kids love having the original mini medi in their backpacks. I can't tell you how many times it has become useful. Thank you for all your insight and I will be making a couple of these for sure. I've got the Manuka Honey in my cart! ;-)
I love your videos! You got me started on my EDC. I don't go anywhere without my altoids kit. I have made one for all my family. Thanks for all you do! Gotta make me one of these now. :)
I was a medical first responder for 15 years before I get my registred nurse licence and I like your clean compact style! The use of honey is also a great natural addition to a EDC kit. If I have to improve this kit, I replace the Face Shield by a one way valve CPR tool like the Ambu Res-cue-key refill and add a pair of nitrile gloves.
Wow, great EDC kit! I like all of your suggestions, but personally I would not have left this kit devoid of some sort of pain relief pill. As someone who picks apart many pre-established first aid kits, I'll always see some sort of tiny asprin pill for pain included. They can be individually wrapped and they'll fit in the bottom of your bag design easily. The honey is an excellent idea, great job on your construction!
that is a really nice kit, Cliff - it is indeed smart to have many sets of thesee available and in all different places, bags, jackets and such. I hope you can make 3 people very happy with a copy. I would indeed recommend adding just some medication in it as well. is funb to make them. nice job bro!
Perfect Timing. I've been working for the past couple of weeks putting together the 3 Family size First Aid Bags. Was wondering how to scale it down for a PFAK. This video will be a great help. And thanks for the HONEY reminder!
Great little kits, and great video! Since they are cell phone sized, they'd fits great in those cell dry sacs or hard cases you can find at walmart, if you needed extra protection for them.
As I get older every day I decided to get into better condition, so walking 5-7 miles per day. When I hit 6 miles I seem to get a blister, so made up a kit like this, with really good band aids. Stopped to put one on me toes today, and a copper drove by, stopped to see if I was having a heart attack or something. Dang, makes me feel as old as I look. But great vid Urb....
fellow Washingtonian :) Thank you for your channel. Its amazing the work you do. Here in Eastern WA we have a mix of Urban and Outdoors so its easy to do prepare for both if we blend them properly. Im glad i found this channel and thanks for the links and PDF's :D
Really nice mini medical kit! That size looks like it could fit inside my edc pouch. I recently used the med kit out of that pouch and I realized I didn't have any medical tape. Putting it around a card would be great. I didn't think about that. The med kit I have in there wasn't quite suit for that situation. I cut the very tip of my thumb pretty deep. The band-aid I had in there wasn't staying on. So I made my own with the thumb part of a latex glove and a wet paper towel. Guess you manage with what you got and improvise.
As ever pal, a beautifully thought out and made video, I'm not angling for a give away, I'm way too far away, but as you know I'm always impressed by the structured approach you bring to your passion. Since your first saw your mini medi I've been trying to replicate it, but the beautiful individually wrapped products you use are just not available here in the UK, it's so frustrating. Anyway great video as ever, many thanks and keep up the good work, Andy
I love how you always find ways to scale down your kits while still maximizing their effectiveness.
i realize I'm kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good site to watch new movies online ?
@Billy Dominic Flixportal =)
@Fox Everett Thanks, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it !!
@Billy Dominic You are welcome :D
~Cliff

TheUrbanPrepper this is a great kit! Did you ever get around to creating these in bulk ?
I have change my life style since watching ur videos. I was never a prepper or a edc guy but now i am father i have worked hard to my sure my family is prepared at all times thank you
I remember the original mini medi kit being the first ever TUP video I ever watched, and I've been a subscriber ever since! Really brings me back...

One of the better and less complicated edc kits out there, good job

Thank you for putting out one more helpful video, love the mini kits for an EDC
+Donna Martin You're welcome, Donna!
Nice little kit! I think it's awesome that you put together your own med kits even if there super small, so you can tailor them to your needs and not get screwed on the price! Good job
You are literally the most organized person I've ever seen! Watching your videos make my OCD happy! Thank you!
I think the videos you do are worth every minute you spend on them.

I love that little kit! It would immediately become part of my EDC, and I would review videos on using the new advanced dressings.
I appreciate your real life practicality & pdf lists. I'm the type that has organizers for my organizers but my small medi-kit needed some attention & the video & list is what it needed.

great idea on the a loc sak. I have three small children and always needing a bandade. thanks for videos. your organization skills are awesome!
This was an incredible video. You put more thought into those than Johnson and Johnson is capable of! Thanks
Yay! New video! I really enjoy watching the kits you create.
Always enjoy your content and thought-process when putting things together. Thanks for doing what you do!
Love these mini kits. Check out the Curad Extreme Length Band-Aids too. They are really nice for a finger wound.
Hi Urban Prepper and hearing what you show was so cool and gives a great feeling that subscribing to you was worth it thanks for sharing your vision.

Can’t find the Manuka honey(Indiana). Where did you find it? Great, informative, info! Thanks!
Hey Cliff would love to see an update to this video!
I like the way you repackaged the medical tape so that it's flat. Great idea!
Those bags were a perfect way to store a first aid kit. I have been using Rubbermaid sandwich containers for my medium kits.
Your mini medi inspired me to put a first aid kit in my bag, I use it all the time, not just on myself! Thanks for the vid Cliff.
+John Kelly Wow! That is SO cool to hear. Awesome John!
I always love the construction videos you do of the smaller kits. helps me see what type of smaller items I should purchase to build a kit. 😊
I'm so happy to have found your videos. I live on the puget sound, so your channel in particular helps when it comes to prepping on my own. My favorite item in this mini medi is the manuka honey, so versatile. Keep up the great work.
Awesome update to this kit. I have always been curious about the blister band aids. I will have to give them a shot.
Always a pleasure to see new content. Years of enjoyment and inspiration. Keep it up!
+Justin Burleigh Thanks a bunch, Justin! I'm glad you have enjoyed my videos for the past few years.
Really well done. I find your videos amazing particularly the PDF documents you supply.
Wow this is a fantastic first aid kit. I can see so many uses for this like my briefcase and bike bags
med kits u can put in a cargo pocket are always a plus. NICE!

A couple benzalkonium chloride wipes for wound cleaning or hand cleaning prior to treating the wounds.
That would be a great kit to keep in my pocket at work. Been wanting zip lock bags like those. Now I know what to look for.
I really enjoy all of your videos, they are very informative. Thank you for all the time & effort you put into helping others with their prepping.
Even though I haven't seen all of your videos yet. They are all amazing. You are my new favorite you tuber :)
+EcLipZe Kipper842 Wow! Thank you so much. I am really honored that you enjoy my videos that much.
Definitely a good set up for everyday use! I wasn't aware there were CPR face-masks that compact- glad you put that on my radar!
Tegaderms are also great as chest seals. We use the larger surgical size as chest seals in the ambulance.
Nice! Thanks for the tip!
Really genius with the honey. Would you do a demo video showing the different uses and when to bypass and go for something else?
genius, as a former volunteer medic I love the simplicity of these kits. would love to have one.
Hopefully one of these fine kits makes a journey here to Pittsburgh.
Great little kits!I have started making similar kits for family members. Thanks again for the pdf!
Outstanding video as usual. I am making first aid kits now for spring hiking trips. I'll be sure to include some of these items.
+Kasi Good Thank you so much, Kasi. That is SO cool to hear. I have an updated Altoids kit video in the works.
the new bag makes the whole kit better! I think I just found my Sunday afternoon project!
+dmeise73 Nice! How did they turn out?
+TheUrbanPrepper I didn't get a chance to make any 😯 I had to remake my girlfriend paracord belt instead... she said it was too long for her
Very great idea. Very impressed how much capability for the size that's in your kits.
+Sébastien Laprise Thanks for the recommendation, Sébastien. It's always great to hear from people with your experience.
Nice EDC first aid kit! I am a recent subscriber and very impressed with your topics and the quality of your coverage. Keep it up!
nice ideas, for things to add to the cheap Johnson and Johnson first aid kits I carry around.
Nice kit! I really like the honey idea as it has dual purpose. I would love to include this into my sons and my camping/hiking packs, thanks!
that is a really nice kit, Cliff - it is indeed smart to have many sets of thesee available and in all different places, bags, jackets and such.
This is a great update. I made some inspired by your original one for all of my family members as stocking stuffers this past xmas.
That's awesome! Santa is a Prepper! :)
fellow Washingtonian :) Thank you for your channel. Its amazing the work you do. Here in Eastern WA we have a mix of Urban and Outdoors so its easy to do prepare for both if we blend them properly. Im glad i found this channel and thanks for the links and PDF's :D
The box of individual honey packets would be great for our bug out bugs etc too. I have a large glass jar of honey but wouldn’t be very portable.
