@@EsmeGrubbany camera doing 4K, it takes up a lot more storage space, and more time to upload due to the file size. With using a regular (not pro) camera and posting on UA-cam, the difference between 1080p and 4K is hardly noticeable.

Welcome to the DJI family. Had a feeling that’s what you were waiting on when you said it was back ordered. It will be easy to use while you travel abroad. Get the right accessories for it and you can go hands free with the mic and various different clips like magnets and clipping to a backpack.
I’ve been using the DJI Osmo pocket 3 for a few months now and it’s a game changer! Took it to Disney and it saved so much battery life on my dslr camera that I normally film with. Tip: Put it on Single focus mode. continuous focus will jump in and out when you’re around a lot of people or moving scenery. Also your settings can change to default when you start the camera so always check that the focus is in single focus before you start filming. Have fun with it!

The Sony ZV series cameras has bad stabilization. I’ve been very happy with the GoPro12 with Volta and Media Mod. Enjoyed watching from beginning to end and a big thumbs up from us 👍🏻

How funny. I’m not a vlogger but I started using the G7X many years ago because you mentioned that was the camera you used. A few years ago I bought the DJI Pocket 2 and while I loved it, there was too much of a learning curve for me. I just didn’t have the patience. Now I mostly just use my phone. But it’s funny that we have the same two cameras, although yours is the newer version. I hope it works out for you. I’m excited for your international videos.
The new camera quality is great, Adam! Excited for int’l travels next year. My husband and I have been a lot of places and I have to say, Switzerland is our favorite and I cannot recommend that country enough! Looking forward to seeing where you end up!
The picture is soooo much clearer! Much better sensor probably. Never had a passport or the need really. Good luck with your future endeavors, Ive been watching you for years and plan on continuing for many more. As you used to say, living vicariously through you. Also the zoom clarity depends on what resolution youre recording in. 1080p will give you a much grainy-er zoom than 2k or 4k. If it's anything like the drones, it has two Wi-Fi transfer modes normal is pretty slow 5ish MB/s but if you use the lightning connection it's fairly fast like 25 MB/s
The DJI Pocket 3 is an absolute beast of a camera. The only thing the 4K eats the memory and takes long to render videos but it’s fantastic ! Welcome to the club sir

I'm excited for your international travel as well! I started traveling to Europe in earnest when I turned 50 six years ago. A person needs to do these things when health isn't an issue. I usually travel with my wife and daughter. So far we've been to Italy, Greece, Spain, Morocco, France, England and Ireland. We usually rent a car and explore as much as we can. I like the researching and planning almost as much as the actual trips. Every trip has been fantastic so far! I can share some suggested itineraries if you or anyone else is interested.
It's crazy when creators get new/better cameras.. It's like viewers get new eyeballs! Please use a mic on windy days and bleh weather - wind noise (including in this video a bit) can make it hard for some of us to hear you

You’re going to love the new camera once you figure it out. I’ve been using the Osmo pocket since 2018 when the first one was released. I don’t each model since and has been the only camera I’ve used on all my videos. Quick tip, The zoom is amazing and does not degrade the quality, I promise you. Set up your toggle button in order to use the zoom. Right now you have it set to panning mode. It’ll make your filming much easier for the style you have. once you figure out the double click button to resent your gimbal that will help as well. You can triple click the button to make it go into selfie mode. And you double click that button to resent. You play with it and figure out, you’re going to absolutely love it I promise.
I’m so glad you’ve switched over to the Pocket 3 camera. As soon as the video started you noticed the difference. Sharper, richer colours and a much more expansive picture. It will transform your videos Adam. I’m a big DJI fan and use their drones as well as their Pocket 2, which I still love using. I know Jacob The Carpetbagger now also uses the Pocket 3 and his videos look so much better because of it. The main advantage of the Pocket 3 over the Pocket 2 is the bigger view screen, but other than that, I don’t believe there’s much difference between them. I can’t wait to see more.

Video looks much clearer. Noticeable improvement. With regards to travel, I have started traveling internationally. In the past 2 years, I have been to Italy, Brazil (four times), Dominican Republic, and France. You will love it. Very educational.
We have been using the Osmo Pocket II for about 4 years now. It's really a great vlogging camera with some (imo) minor limitations. I want to upgrade to the III but the II has meet most of our needs. I would love to have the low light for HHN because the II falls flat on it's face in those kinds of situations. I have found the FPV mode works best for keeping track of things and mirrors a point and shoot the best. Your image quality looks fantastic now and I love the DOF your getting with the it as well.
So far so good on how the camera looks. Sounds great too. I can see you utilizing that 360 feature already... It's always fun seeing Adam get something new 😅
You're finally in the bigs, bud! That camera is SICK! The color and stabilization is great, the night shots are amazing, the focus is great. You are going to love using that Pocket 3! You ride videos will be so much better when you hit darker areas, dynamic range is much better than anything you've used before... you'll love it, and we will love being able to see things in your videos! (As long as you don't BLOW past them all the time like you usually do...) Congratulations! Can't wait to see the improvement! NOW, take it from me and get the Hollyland Lark M2 Duo setup and you will have dual mics that hook up to the camera via a simple plugin receiver with two button-sized mics that ALSO have REALLY good noise canceling! Very affordable, very easy to use (just plug it in and go!) and you can use it on your iPhone or Android too! Now we can hear Daphne or Tampa Jay or Justin as clearly as we hear you. This is a big step for you! I'm so happy you got the Pocket 3; it's a great camera! That extra battery gives you a lot more record time plus it acts as a better handle. Ask David about his. He can tune you into the best way to set yours up. One thing you're going to have to work really hard at is getting your 45º-angle shots you're so fond of... (FYI, they're not that pleasant on this end most of the time). PLUS... it's really LIGHT! You're going to love holding this all day over what you've had. It's probably lighter than a piping hot caffeinated beverage. You can adjust your focus speed, look it up in the settings. Wind WILL be a problem unless you get either stick-on wind muffs or get the Hollyland (or Rode) wireless mics and use their muffs; they stop almost ALL wind noise and leave you with excellent audio. Take the leap! Make your videos better for US!!!! We spend a lot of time watching crappy focus, crappy audio... do it for us. You're almost THERE! Soon, I'm not going to have anything but your commentary to complain about.🤣🤣 Your last camera had HORRIBLE zoom. It HAD to be digital (Canon has great cameras; you must have gone real cheap for yours) because it was nasty when you zoomed, plus it had that annoying 'click' when you let up on the zoom button. Easiest way to zoom on your Pocket 3 is tap the zoom icon on the right side of your screen and then move your finger up to zoom. Easy Peasy! Or you can tap the zoom icon and then use your joystick to zoom in and out (this leaves the full screen available to you as you zoom). {Hey, you figured it out all by yourself! I'm so proud of you!} You can set the zoom speed also. (The zoom on the clouds looks GREAT compared to that piece of crap you used to zoom in on the Mickey Power Pole! What are you talking about? And there's no annoying CLICK when you stop zooming. You ought to WATCH your videos when you edit...) Anyway... I'm happy for you. Your videos will greatly improve with this camera!
I love the new camera Adam. It's very exciting to hear about your international travel plans. The fact you have visited all 50 States in itself is a great achievement. That's been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember but I've only visited two and don't think it'll be financially possible currently 😂 excited to live your international travel through your vlogs though. I've been using the Osmo Pocket 3 since November, We love it. There is a digital zoom. You can swap out the up and down with the digital zoom thru settings. I love the Pocket 3 for nice smooth walking videos. We do tours inside of RVs and it works so well for showing off tight, small interiors. If you want to master this camera, I feel the channel Jeven Dovey has an amazing tutorial on using the Osmo Pocket 3.
I have the same camera, Adam. It's amazing. Btw, if you have troubles with the camera needing to go back to its natural central position, just double click the little round button (the one that you triple click to turn the camera onto you) on the Pocket 3.

I think this is the camera Nate uses. If so, you can set it so the camera will follow you as you move around if you set it down on a tri-pod. The quality for the $$$ is excellent!

Your last camera had HORRIBLE zoom. It HAD to be digital (Canon has great cameras; you must have gone real cheap for yours) because it was nasty when you zoomed, plus it had that annoying 'click' when you let up on the zoom button. Easiest way to zoom on your Pocket 3 is tap the zoom icon on the right side of your screen and then move your finger up to zoom. Easy Peasy! Or you can tap the zoom icon and then use your joystick to zoom in and out (this leaves the full screen available to you as you zoom). {Hey, you figured it out all by yourself! I'm so proud of you!} You can set the zoom speed also. (The zoom on the clouds looks GREAT compared to that piece of crap you used to zoom in on the Mickey Power Pole! What are you talking about? And there's no annoying CLICK when you stop zooming. You ought to WATCH your videos when you edit...)
Anyway... I'm happy for you. Your videos will greatly improve with this camera!
I love the new camera Adam. It's very exciting to hear about your international travel plans. The fact you have visited all 50 States in itself is a great achievement. That's been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember but I've only visited two and don't think it'll be financially possible currently 😂 excited to live your international travel through your vlogs though. I've been using the Osmo Pocket 3 since November, We love it. There is a digital zoom. You can swap out the up and down with the digital zoom thru settings. I love the Pocket 3 for nice smooth walking videos. We do tours inside of RVs and it works so well for showing off tight, small interiors. If you want to master this camera, I feel the channel Jeven Dovey has an amazing tutorial on using the Osmo Pocket 3.

I have the same camera, Adam. It's amazing. Btw, if you have troubles with the camera needing to go back to its natural central position, just double click the little round button (the one that you triple click to turn the camera onto you) on the Pocket 3.

I think this is the camera Nate uses. If so, you can set it so the camera will follow you as you move around if you set it down on a tri-pod. The quality for the $$$ is excellent!
