this is one of the most exciting ideas from you i can imagine! puzzle-adventure game videos centered around breaking down the puzzles---more than just a walkthrough, but actually analyzing how they function---are among my favorites. but there's not many of them, i can only think of a handful of people who've done anything close to it at all. So I'd love a whole series fixating on that aspect of this stuff! When playing Quern, I actually remember thinking that Quern's puzzles seemed particularly interesting to pick apart how they work. They often center around mastering some sort of system, rather than just making simple connections, so it's a perfect candidate as a game for this focus imo too!
This is such a great idea!!! I don't think the mathphobia is really that glaring of an issue, I really think one of the things you do best is make approachable and engaging puzzle solving content and no matter how complicated the puzzle in Quern is, I'm sure you'd be able to pull it off. Scope wise I think this project is also a great pick, and honestly doesn't require as much of a commitment as say a riven play through would (assuming you go with the study route). You can focus on as many or as few puzzles as you find interesting or that would be good candidates for videos.
This got put on hold at the moment as I'm currently working on a different project, but I'm still interested in returning to this one once it's done. I have not played any Black Cube games. Tell me more, I do stream puzzle games all the time on Twitch...
Right now my priority is to make Shady Files #9 which goes over the other two candidates. I'm also working on another long standalone video that I think will be one of my best videos but I'm not ready to let people know what it's about yet. Once those videos are done, I'll be ready to start on one of these new projects. Could be QS, I've already got one mathematician looking at the content, may have a second one soon.
@@Joseph-xe1ry Oh, yeah Rhem is cool. And it should still work with the format. I only started Rhem years ago. It would be nice to finish it, but the disc is in another state.

I absolutely love the analyzing queen puzzles idea. Would be a great series
Would love to see Quern get some more attention - a fantastic underrated game.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure the audience Shady has already fits well enough and manim videos are quite popular right now anyway.
I like math. Like, a lot.
The Quern Studies stuff sounds good to me as a math person. But I need to finally play Quern myself first!
Hey, have you ever played the Rhem games? I would enjoy hearing your thoughts on them, but also an analysis of their puzzles.
I'd personally love for you to do this game. I've already played it many times. Enough so that I don't actually need guides for most of the puzzles.
I don't know what your other ideas are, but this would be cool.
I just finished playing through quern so id love to see this become a full series
Im also curious is you have played any of the Black Cube games.

Sooo . . . are you working on the Quern project ?? Would love to see it. G.

@@shadyparadox It would be more fun if you played the Rhem series. I'm shocked you haven't played it yet when it's right up your alley.
