I just sold my 745i in Australia. Beautiful car, but every time I drove it I was worried something might break and break me. Champaign taste on a beer budget. Also in Australia, the rego for 12 months was $1200 compared to 450 for a 4-cylinder.
Smart move. You're always scared of that odd sound, the strange smell, the weird ticking noise... Hearing those odd sounds always made me drive it no harder than 7/10ths of its capability and revs.

Were there no reviews, drag races, off-road challenges or comparisons ready for uploading this week or.....?🤷♂️ Either way, it's always good to see Mat thoroughly "testing" cars🙈😂 Carwow and Mat definitely always deliver when it comes to content though, I must say. When it came to build quality both BMW and Mercedes dropped the ball during this era, i still own my first car, a 2003 BMW E46 330d AC Schnitzer 6spd, 700000km on thr clock and it hasn't skippped a beat after owning it for 20 years. Had a 1 series and that was absolutely crap, E90 and that era was dodgy as hell, the newer stuff is excellent though, currently have a F10 M550d Xdrive and have owned it for 5 years now and man what an incredible vehicle, did a twin Big-turbo swop and its an absolute animal, makes well over 1000nm of torque.
the newer stuff is the worst 😂 Im a mechanic pal and the newer the BMW the worst made it is. Even the falsely praised B58 and s58 are top of the UK engine failure rates. Its all a lie.

I don't care about the results but that's not even a comparison. In real life, LS would eat S class and 7 series for lunch lol, at least here in the US. LS 430 is the reason Lexus became famous, just saying. And S class and 7 series have huge reliability issues.

The styling of that era Bmw 7 was next gen compared to the other two. Looks great even today. I still want one. It would be probably be ruinous though.

The S320 has a 3.2-liter V6 engine only?! That's the right engine for Mercedes C class, not anything heavier than that. My C320 Benz has that engine.
