I remember where the phrase “Klaatu barada nikto” was originally used in the classic “The Day The Earth Stood Still”. Besides Lucas using the phrase for character names in Jedi as you note, my most favorite use of the phrase is in the Evil Dead movies. The way that Ash (Bruce Campbell) jumbles up the words in Army of Darkness specifically always makes me laugh! Klatuu barada …. Nickel! Necktie!…. Cough cough….. Love the channel and this episode - we’re excited to be able to come down for our 1st Food and Wine ever next week, and hope we’ll run into you again sometime like we did at Le Cellier during the Festival of the Holidays last year. 🙂👍
And hopefully they’ll have some of the Short Rib at Earth Eats when we’re there as I’d really like to try it, and I hope you are able to get it soon too!
Yes!!! Brandon will also likely chime in, but he is delighted someone caught the references. Hope you have a great time when you visit F&W, and of course, we'd always love to run into you again like we did at Le Cellier during Candlelight & Festival of the Holidays.
I love how that phrase has appeared in so many films, including, as you mentioned, the classic Army of Darkness! In terms of references, I think it's better used in Army of Darkness, but for some reason, my favorite one is from the vastly under appreciated Robin Williams' film "Toys."
Great video! Thanks!!!
We're glad you enjoyed it! 😍
I am leaving for a trip tomorrow from the UK, cannot wait to explore the festival. Thank you for sharing 😊
How exciting! Have safe travels, and we hope you have the best time! 😍

@@brandonzimmerman2362 Be sure to let us know how the short rib is when you go! We're hoping to head back to the festival soon to check it out.

Midnight Madness!
Just don’t turn Midnight Madness into Midnight Express!
@@Mr.ToadsWildWildin 🤣 That would definitely turn out VERY differently!
