While this is obviously a sales pitch, it is also undenyably true! These IDEs have been a pleasure to work with and I'd recommend them any day of the week :).

Let's see. A video about a Jetbrains product on a Jetbrains channel. Add 7, carry the 1. Yeah!! Is one supposed to expect something different?

@@bitmanagent67 I suppose not :). I'm just trying to say that despite the incentive, everything they claim is absolutely true and not exaggerated in my opinion.

I honestly thought that this video would be the announcement of an all in one JetBrains IDE 😅

you guys should rename Webstorm to an editor, because with the removal of the database extension it does less than what other IDEs can do

Which IDE does Jetbrains uses to create Jetbrains IDE?

Mainly IntelliJ IDEA, but not only, other IDEs too. There's a lot of dogfooding of own products at JetBrains.

    I don't see anything that VSCode can't do 🤷‍♂

It is not supposed to be better. It is supposed to grant choice. Get over the zero sum game. This is not sports.

Jetbrains refactoring is more powerful. In JS projects, if you move a file to a different folder, all import statement will be updated accordingly.

Code analysis, advanced code navigation, refactoring, way better intellisense (due to code analysis), better tools and each IDE is targeted at the language/framework they are for. VS Code is versatile but not in the same league.

@@curtmantle7486 I tried WebStorm, I don't find what you say particularly better than VSCode.
I tried it on a large project with more than 200k lines of typescript code.
Everything is the same, except VSCode feels way faster imo
