Further, as food is primarily eaten with use of one's hands and not with the use of cutlery, the chunks of fish with the bones still intact do not pose much of an issue. The Filleting of fish is a very Western concept, as protein is quite expensive in this part of the world and people try to use every part of the fish apart from its guts. I do enjoy my batter fried cod fillets along with a nice cold lager on the side, but trust me when I say, 'Paraw' curry is divine!
