For years i've been told to watch this anime and for some reason i didn't think i'd enjoy it. Now, finally i was convinced thanks to my friends and i got to say, BOY WAS I WRONG! I've decided to make it my first anime reaction series on this channel. This is the first time I am watching Naruto so please no huge spoilers, however some foreshadowing might be forgiven! To answer your question on Rinne Rebirth, it revives people exactly where they died, or where their body is, so basically Jiraiya would, in theory, be revived, however it would be in deep deep waters where even Kabuto was unable to retrieve his DNA for reanimation. So Madara could be revived via Rinne Rebirth because he was buried in Konoha. Don't wanna say more than that without spoiling the rest of the war arc
Breh idk who in the comments told him that nagato had a time frame for reviving someone. Thats not the reason. Its cuz his body was at the bottom of the ocean. Even if he was revived he would have died cuz they couldn’t get his body.

I can guarantee you, the reason why jiraiya wasnt revive is not because the person must have been dead a little short amount of time ago, this is wrong. I think the rinne rebirth has a Range and not cast through the entire world + even if he would revive jiraiya, he is thousands of meters at the bottom of the see so he would drown after beeing revived

Actually, Madara in reanimated form isn't as strong as when he was alive even if Kabuto upgraded his reanimated body.

If you revive the long dead, the caster must give his life. To revive the many recently dead, the caster must give his life. Such is the Rinne Rebirth Jutsu.
As per the Rinne-rebirth question you had, to my understanding while trying not to be too specific as to avoid spoilers, here are my thoughts--
At the level negato was at at the end of the pain arc he only had enough power to revive those that had died recently, implying that the longer the person has been dead the more power you would need to revive them... and even in his weakened state he was able to revive almost the entire village, and now madara saying he was to use that justu just on him should be telling as to how much power one would need to revive someone that has been dead for so long...

The real reason why Jiraiya cannot be revived because his body cannot be found. If they find Jiraiya body then they could revived him. And that is also the reason there is n Jiraiya Edo Tensei since Kabuto also cannot find his body.

They call the first Hokage the God of shinobi, but I would argue that Madara is a better shinobi. The first was a better fighter, but Madara made a sneaky plan that eventually came to fruition. He became significantly stronger than any other single person in the history of the world they live in. He was a badass with a solid backstory.
