    These look so much nicer than their square grinders! And the quality is looking top notch as well.

    Thanks for your quality content! I am interested in upgrading my grinder, currently have a Mazzer Mini. Moving from Mazzer Mini to either the Atom or even better the Helios, is it considered an upgrade and if yes, by how much? In terms of Eureka, what is the difference between the Atom and the Helios line? Thanks!

    Love this but I'm concerned about that safety switch/sensor at the hopper base. I can't help wondering if this could be its "weak link in the chain" in terms of reliability.

      Hi Richard, I have no reports of issues with the sensor - they are robust!

      @@Wholelattelovepage I imagine so, I have no doubt. But I'm also concerned about the declumping tech they've been using. I've seen reports of the metal tabs bending upward as coffee pushed against it. Resulting in clumpy coffee. It was said that Eureka was working on a revision to this but I haven't seen anything regarding any improvements to this. If you have any update on that, or details about the declumping used in this machine, I'm very interested. It's a beauty.

    Hi Marc,
    great content! I wonder how the Helios 65 compares to the Eureka Mignon XL. You got any advise on which one to take?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Lorenzo, Thanks for the comment and question. Unless you need the larger hopper or just prefer the look of the Helios I'd go with the Mignon XL. Same burr size plus a burr upgrade to the "Diamond Inside" burrs which stay sharper longer.

    Hi Marc, nice review as always! What about rentention? And do you think there will be smaller hoppers available in the future? Really like the look of the Helios but I'm afraid it might appear to massive beside my Mozzafiato :) It probably makes more sense for Restaurants / Cafes...

    Hi Marc,
    Great video's as usual, so informative. I know you have had a lot of hopper questions, but was wondering if there would be a shorter after market, or a shorter hopper from a different machine. Its definitely a need to purchase this unit, but the hopper is just to tall... Thanks again for the awesome informative video!!!!

      Hi LM, Thanks for the question. Currently no shorter Eureka hoppers which fit the Helios. We have discussed a shorter hopper with Eureka and think one will be available at some time but nothing definite to report at this time.

    What your thoughts on these now you have had a plAy on them for a bit. The 80 is fast and they look like good quality grinders and easy to clean etc. how would you compare to the new Mazza Major S V or the ceado E37s. This review didn’t seem to push them much just outlined the features but you didn’t seem captured by them. Any further thoughts or feedback?

    This grinder looks great but its new tech doesn't seem realistic for home applications. Love the look too.
    BUT... Marc, when will you show us YOUR home espresso setup?? Thanks for all you do.

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Andy, Thanks for the comment. The Helios design is stunning - very Milano! As for home espresso setup I rotate through a variety of machines for real world testing. At the start of the pandemic we locked down in NY. Not knowing how long that might last, the day the lock down was announced I took home a favorite pair. An ECM Synchronika w/flow control and a Ceado E37S. As restrictions eased I was able to return to work. My wife and college student daughter were left at home and wanted something a little more convenient so per their requests it's been a variety of bean to cup super-automatics in the past few months including a Jura ENA 8 and Gaggia Cadorna Prestige.

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 роки тому +1

      Hey SS, Thanks for the question. I have not tried the Helios 80 yet. But I def will when I get my hands on one - hopefully soon. Generalizing between Eureka and Ceado grinders the Ceados have a better build quality in my opinion and that's reflected in the price difference. Depends on what you like but the Milan inspired look of Helios grinders is more contemporary IMO. If cost and look are not a concern the E37S is my choice. Hope that help[s!

      Thanks Marc, both machines can be upgraded with red speed burrs (which is tempting). Actually I like both of them with their look, however I am not sure if it’s worth to add more cost between 80mm eureka to 83mm ceado. What I can see that, both machines are quite satisfying. Cheers

    How is this compared to the ORO XL 65mm?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Jose, Unless you need a high capacity hopper or prefer the look of one over the other I'd go Oro XL. It's a more recent addition to the Eureka line and features diamond inside burrs, a much more compact package, similar grind quality and lower price. • @400080vikkash
      @400080vikkash 3 роки тому +1

      Not sure but I currently have the e37s and its a tank. very clean grinder never makes a mess during grinding. Has the worm gear to adjust the coarseness of the grind so its steeples. It is clump free and fast. depending on your grind size you'll grind 18 g in about 3.8-4.5 seconds. Hope that helps

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 роки тому +1

      Hi j, Thanks for the question. Depends on which Ceado grinder you are looking at. @vik kash left good advice. I'll just add the E37S is 83mm burr with a higher level, more solid build quality - tank is right! It is of course more $$ than the Helios. The Ceado, E5P is the best value in a 64mm burr manual on demand, The E6P is same grinder as E5P but with two timed presets in addition to manual grinding. Then there's the E5SD single doser. You can compare those 3 in this video: ua-cam.com/video/V-Fnu7R68Tc/v-deo.html
      The Helios does a nice grind and sports that Milan designed style!

    My Helios 80 has just arrived and I'm having some trouble with it. It only works for a coarse grind. When I dial up for my (pretty standard) espresso recipe, the machine simply doesn't work. Apparently the beans get stuck in the burrs and they don´t have power to grind anymore. Any help with that?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 роки тому

      Hi JPB, Sorry you're having troubles. Sounds like your grinder is not in the process of grinding when you are adjusting finer? Adjusting finer in any grinder without the motor running can crush beans between the burrs. That can inhibit the burrs from spinning next time the motor attempts to start. All grinders must be running when adjusting finer or be free of beans.

    The only deal breaker is that ginormous hopper! 😆Do you think the atom blow-up hopper would fit on it?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 роки тому +2

      Hi OM, MD, It is a large hopper! Unfortunately, the diameter of the Atom hopper is smaller. Also, it's missing a protrusion in the mounting area to de-activate the hopper safety switch. We have talked to Eureka about a smaller hopper for the Helios and hope to have one at some point but no news on that yet. We worked with Ceado some years ago to get smaller hoppers standard on many of their grinders.
