I am not sure people really understand what a collective (hive) culture really is. I am a westerner living in Indonesia, one of the most collective cultures in the world. Let me warn you, it is all a lie. Who do you think runs a collective society? The collective people with in it? Collective societies are not places where all people are equal. The is a strong pecking order that must be respected and anyone who falls out of line in this pecking order will be punished severely. This punishment can range from public shaming, shunning, torture, all the way to death.
Here in Indonesia there is a larger gap between the wealthy and the poor. At first it may look like it just revolves around ethnic groups as the Javanese people rule over all the other groups. This part was achieved through acculturation after the 1965 genocide when Suharto moved groups of Javanese people around the country and place them in control of local economics and resources. The other ethnic groups had to surrender all power to them and obey or die. The other groups figured they would marry their prettiest daughter into the Javanese groups (the BIG family) to try and regain some of their lost wealth and power. The Javanese countered this tactic by arranging inter marriages with in their own families. after the fall of Suharto in 1998 things only got worse as the groups began to fight amongst each other for power over the country. The police executed most of the military leaders to secure power. To this day the police family runs the country from behind the president. The entire country is run on bribery and corruption. It is very important for people to be polite while being discriminated against. Respect and politeness to the leaders of the groups s the most important thing. This also goes for the millions of slaves here, the majority whom are children and men.
So please go right ahead and speak about something you have never experienced first hand.

Fascism is collectivist and they are inegalitarian. Though the right apart from fascists (who are socialists) are at least more individualistic than the left even if most of them are collectivists.

Collectivism is the belief that the individual must sacrifice for the sake of the group - the collective. That works great for ants - but not for rational men. Those of you who are irrational might prefer to be part of a collective because without the strength of the mob, you are unable to take from the rational creators what you need to survive.
Individualists are NOT isolationists. Individualists value other men for their voluntary achievements and abilities. Individualists seek to trade with like-minded men, NOT to enslave them.
Every horrific war on earth was fought in the name of collectivism.... including every religious war... every war meant to impose someone's ideology (Marxism, Communism, Stalinism, Socialism, Nazism, Fascism, etc.).
The American Revolutionary War was actually started by The British in an attempt to continue their enslavement of their American "subjects" after those "subjects" declared themselves free from British tyranny.
There is NO SUCH THING as freedom of the collective.

Be careful of "democracy". It was never ideal, it does still divide the people red vs blue, and divided are we still conquered when both parties are "owned & operated", seeing as industrial standards and practices are enforced, seeing as we must be incorporated (a debt-corps) named a person, making your soul nul and void. That shit's wrong.
Democracy was never great. A ruse since politics was hijacked and occulted to govern the mentality of everyone.
And you can't say most people "enjoy" paying for the obvious: wars, shit food, poisons excused as pesticides, gmos for great dna for life (riiiight)... and pay for the less obvious: child and women sex trafficking becoming a major industry now, and all the skewed, halfwit jaded sciences government agencies and private sold out firms use on us presently, now noob.
Didn't even get into what you think "free market" means compared with what the industrial UN WEF IMF WORLDBANK WHO all believe that means. Just saying. Cheers

The idea of a free market is just an illusion, there’s a thing called lobbying, when big corporations feel threatened they pay off politicians to implement laws to make it harder for their competitors to do business, don’t believe me? Look into what some states are doing to Airbnb owners.

    Just my 2 cents:
We are not all equal in talent, skill, or abilities. If we were there would be no need for free will or individuality.
Collectivism is based on a flawed philosophy that we are all equal in thoughts, abilities, talent, creativity and emotions.
We all have equal individual rights given by the creator, hence our constitution that restricts the Government from violating our rights.
However, we are all far from being equal. A big difference between equal rights and equal ability, talent, and etc....
The "inequality" you speak of is made up. You cant say collectivism will fix "inequality". Because the collective can not fix individual abilities or inabilities.
Some people are natural geniuses, prodigies. Most people have to work really hard to gain a skill or ability. Collectivism can not fix that.
Besides what kind of a world would this be if everyone had the brains of nicholai tesla, or if everyone was just as talented as Michael Jordon, or Tiger woods in his prime. It would be a very gray and boring world. Everyone is a Michael Angelo, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson.
Collectivism won't fix laziness, sloth, greed, envy and etc.
Collectivism will however, eliminate individual drive, inspiration and motivation to innovate, produce art, perfect processes, build, and etc...
