Both of them are nice. If you want a nice villian and a ultra nice story, play far cry 3. If you want nice weapons and nice clips to upload, play far cry 4. The story isn't bad , but the story of far cry 3 is better. But it is up to you!!! hope I could help you a bit by your decision :D
It only works on PC. Instead of using the weapon wheel to select a weapon you just press the shortcut key, for example 1, 2, 3 and so on, mid wingsuit.

One factor of course is that that the technology in video games has improved. Making a game like FC 4 was probably not possible when the 1st one was released.
