Travelling to asia ( indonesia, thailand etc.) with my then Girl friend were the best years of life. Enjoying life in the fullest. One big beautiful adventure exploring countries and cultures.
I am glad that you had a great time in Koh Tao. I still believe that tourists should boycott this Island until the mysterious deaths have absolute answers. It is just plain sad that these information is not included on some of the documentaries attracting more people to visit.
Well tourists should boycott many countries then as there are unsolved deaths of tourists in new york /cape town/Mumbai/ London/ etc etc etc etc etc. Why boycott just kho tao?
I have been lucky enough to visit the island 3 times and each time my love the island, and grows fonder! Obviously there has been some mysterious deaths on the island but I felt safe at all times. At the end of the day if you respect the island & the people you have nothing to worry about. If you decide to act up then that’s on you….especially knowing the dangers
Right? That's what I've been saying too. Yes, there is a mafia family on the island but they are not actively looking to just murder tourists. Respect goes a long way and as long as you follow your instincts and steer clear of trouble, it's fine. Applies to anywhere you go in the world
How would you know what they'd like or not? That's a very different culture, i"m glad you're well, but people can't go to a place where mayor blames the victims fot theyr deaths
OMG your video covinced me to finally make the decision to go there. It looks so stunning. I have always gone to Koh Rong Sanlome in Cambodia for vacation. I'm gonna try Ko Tao this year. I wonder, however, is october a good month to visit?
That's great! Glad I could help. I think October lies right in the middle of rainy and dry season so in my mind it's a good time to go. Hopefully no storms roll in to disturb the water clarity but the Gulf of Thailand isn't known for getting big storms or anything. Hope you enjoy your trip!
@@Richgirl4 Koh Rong is by far the nicest tropical island i have visited, and I have also been to koh tao. Left koh tao early as there's a truly nasty vibe there. it's like the wild west, and anyone who says otherwise is not "in tune" and/or is being ignorant of the well recorded, multiple rapes and murders on the island. Koh Tao translates to Turtle Island. Thais call it Dirty Turtle Island. All eyes will be on you when you arrive on the island and it's the only place i have ever had my passport details taken on the ferry in. some random guy on a bike asked me where i was staying within minutes of arriving. some kind of stooge if you ask me.
Nice, is this high seasson? Havnt been there since 2008 - But was thinking of going this winter while we stay at Samui. But now i am not sure if i just want to remember how it was..
If I remember right, this was around March 2023 (sort of high season) I'm sure a lot has changed since your last visit tho, Ko Samui is still relatively nice 👍
@@TristanWilliamsonMusic It was so beautiful, and the people are so kind. The island is really small but fun. The main beach is beautiful. And for party people the place to be. That is soooo freaking awesome . They should do that world wide instead of fireworks!!
mazing video. Btw any travel film makers planning for Thailand in May 2024 ? I do make travel videos too so I would like to collaborate for better engagement.
I won't be going there, as I have seen too many video of deaths, aggressiveness and extortion. Some people are lucky, but I don't want to take any chances. So many other great places in Thailand.
Hilarious comment, because you'll probably end up visiting places that are way more dangerous. But hey, we have enough tourists here already! Don't come!
I agree, especially the western half of the island. I love the remoteness of Ko Tao but the amount of loud, rusty boats coming and going all day really takes away from the experience. Not to mention growing oil slicks in the water
@@leodoeslife_ I just saw a photo of over 100 long tailed boats on a beach with their old dirty car engines leaking fuel and belching black smoke , on koh tao and other islands i walked back behind the chalets into the woods and there are piles of rubbish 10 metres high ,on sairee beach with binoculars i watched the ferry leave and when it was a few hundred metres out to sea they emptied all the black rubbish bags into the sea and all the boats do this . all the resorts empty their toilets into the sea ,while it is not the tourists fault directly it is all their rubbish

Not been back to koh tao since 2005. Was there from 98-05. Best years of my life as a single man.. hopefully it's not changed too much . ❤
7 years in Ko Tao? Whoa! That's awesome man, I'm sure you had some memorable times as a bachelor 🤘
Plenty of murders

I stayed in Koh Samui for 10 days and came back to Korea a month ago, and I already miss it. I will return to happy paradise next spring.
it's hard to leave right? Koh Samui is a good time to unwind. I'm in Korea now too haha
Great video, some good advice in there.
Thanks Susan 👍
Excellent Video!
Hey, thanks Frederick! 🙏
Verry nice island ..blue sea . beautiful
Tons of hotels, i am visiting in February, should i book hotel online?😊
There's limitless options but it never hurts to book in advance

YANG THAI FOOD RESTAURANT 👍💯Cheap and great taste Big plate of food prices started from 70 Baht 👍🏝️🐢🌅🐠💞❤
Do some research about all of the tourists murdered in the Island
How is Ko Rong?I've always wanted to visit this place, I read that it's still pretty clean there??

How long did the speedboat from Surat Thani to Ko Tao take?
Speedboats usually take an hour or less to get to Ko Tao. I think they make a quick stop at Koh Panghan beforehand
@@leodoeslife_ it takes a ferry over 4 hours
What month were you here?
If I remember correctly, this was around March 👍
How is the weather in december?
I've never actually been to KT at that time of the year but I would suspect it's the end of rainy season and should be pretty mild year-round 👍
I answer instead him "Cold"
@@Xtremer846 I’m in Koh Tao right now and I’ll answer that it’s windy, but nothing more😃
2:30 what's the name of that bread place?
I think it was just called The French Market
Ok is it really unsafe considering in October!!!
what gear do you use to film all this ??
DJI Action Cam and Air 2 drone
How many days are enough to see koh tao?
2-4 days I think is adequate
till you're alive

Too many people were died there for suspicious reasons and police is not real helpful.
Check all the information before making your decision.
It's a Death island

Never ending bananas 🍌
Haha basket was always full of bananas 🙌
The island was uninhabited until the 1940’s.
Sadly mass tourism will spoil the tranquility.

Korup Island, not safe for tourists. Disgust1ng the way the police handle the case

J,ai passe trois mois la bas à l,époque ou il n,y avait que des voyageurs, les touristes l,ont pourri comme d,habitude
Oui, je suis sûr que c'était différent à l'époque. Le surtourisme finira par tout gâcher 🙁
Murder Island see stats dont go
Don't go to Koh Tao, that's an evil place ☠️⚰️
Island of death stay away from this type of video
Please reconsider visiting Ko Tao. Mafia run , some of them responsible for most of the horrific rapes and murders on the island.
They literally just killed an Australian kid yesterday I believe.
