8:21 icouldnt understand why the weakside wingers defender is over there. His one of leg stays in the painted zone other leg outside. If he goes there he never goes on time while skip pass to his man.
It is in Pack Line D. He is teaching the Pack variation of Man on Man which sets up the help position off-the-ball as default. Very good for Youth Basketball.
@@ozitenoragree. I love the way he’s approaching it. Depending on the athlete one’s guarding, they may have to adapt some, but it’s a nice way to learn help d. I’m going to try this with my kids.
you are idiot ? this drill's separate noobs from pro's.. this type of defense activate this sense auto on your mind, 1on1 defense pure its fucking idiot and basic horrible defense style, this is not a soccer game
This is the Pack Line variation of traditional Man defense, which has off-ball defenders one-pass away starting in help rather than denial. He is not teaching anything wrong, he is just teaching this variation, which is a useful defense for youth basketball as it eliminates the extra step of help-recover and creates more robust/automatic interior defense.
this explains why the pacers defensive rating is so underwhelming
Is this only when in zone?
what's the purpose of holding hands?
ayy, I do this at school;)
I'm hoping it was an accident but no one saw him go for a boob grab at the 9:37 mark?
