品讀、吟唱古漢文，首先應使用該文成作時期之語言，尤其品讀格律要求最嚴格之唐詩；使用國語（普通話）讀音在讀古文，已是錯誤第一步。
普通話（Mandarin Chinese；滿化漢語）對漢字之讀音，係所有漢語系統中最違背漢字讀音者；此乃因這是一種深受北方胡人（蒙人及滿人）語言(蒙古語、滿州語)影響之語言，形成於近四百年內（分別被蒙古、滿州滅過國）。用這種荒腔走調之滿化漢語（Mandarin style of Chinese; 滿大人-滿清政府官員式漢語）在讀古漢文吟漢賦、唐詩、宋詞，形同篡改古詩文讀音格律，是在糟蹋該古文、侮辱該文作者。
先受外邦人蒙古統治近一世紀，再受滿州人長期統治（長達兩百六十八年，約九世代）華北影響，炎黃子孫之祖先早已習慣這種滿化漢語讀音；即令滿人早已被驅離政治中心，在兩岸皆為漢人掌握政治大權而能主掌漢語教育大計下，居然沿襲滿人過去將大多數（九成）漢字錯讀之音在教未來主人翁品讀古文甚至讀對平仄格律要求嚴謹之唐詩，實在荒唐之至。悲哉炎黃子孫！
兩岸政治領導精英應迅速改弦易轍，以漢語學家公認保留最多古漢語成份之閩南語（河洛話）來教導民族幼苗品讀古文，尤其是唐詩；還原以古文作者所處語音環境，既尊重作者原著又最具文學價值。
