Guys Always respect the people who tell you truth to your face.I am in really tough situation myself and hoping for pgwp. i have 458 crs , after 1 yr study i got 1 year pgwp and i have to get 1 year NocB EXP in that . and in this market i can't find a job. People are getting angry for him to be blunt and lil straight forward while not presenting emotions . This is the same guy who laughs and smiles throughout the video when good news come. The thing is that we need specialists and professionals here in Quebec but they also need to be able to talk to us in French.
It is not that hard to get at least basic proficiency in French to qualify for PR through QEP and it will cost much less compared to PGWP or any other route.

Can I apply for the PGWP extension based on the Special Measure PGWP public policy in terms of the initial PGWP expiry date? I also have an email from IRCC that says I may be eligible for the extension under this special measure on 2022-08-18.

If you really want to come to Canada as a student think twice or heck even on PR think twice as well, its not bed of roses here. But you know the best thing is to study french from back home for about 2 years religiously and clear the TEF exam, thousand times better than coming as a student. I did the same and it works for sure, I can vouch for it.

@@khush1894 bonjour mon ami, if you are just starting, don’t use any famous book because trust me you will get frustrated. Just get hold of delf practice material according to your level (edito books) they are good way to start. Make it a habit to listen to french radio daily for a set amount of time. Also listen to slow french news. For reading spend time reading articles in french. Let me know your level and then I can suggest some more material.

Hi. My PGWP has expired on 16 January 2024. I do have my TRV until 2031 and am currently waiting in the pool with a CRS score of 520. I want to restore my status to a visitor to continue living in the country until a decision is made on my application. The only option right now is to do your French classes. There's no other way. Do not rely on LMIA because this may never happen. If you work for big companies it is more likely that they won't do this for you. It is also cheaper. Instead of 1 year of college, it is better to know French. Yes, that's the Canadian Gvt. For them you speaking French, even if you do not use it, it is better than a year of full study.

No. Without Lmia, no work permit.
Forget PGWP extension. There was an IRCC mandate letter last year to “expand pathways to permanent residence for international students and temporary foreign workers through the Express Entry system,”. Why is noone talking about that now? Seems like everyone forgot about that.
He explained it in the video. The reality is that things have changed. Rising cost of living and housing crises is the major factor. These issues are being attributed to the high level of immigration. If I were you I will look for other options as he advised and stop complaining before it is too late. Reality is different now and the truth is Canada will soon be making immigration rules tight just like UK and Australia. No where is cool so act fast

Apply for a visitors record to maintain your status while you wait can be an option. You can’t work but you can maintain status at least

I don't know where you did your Master degree.
In Ontario, if you graduated with Master degree from an eligible Ontario public university, you qualify for OINP Masters Graduate Stream; no job offers required to apply.
In BC PNP, if you graduated with Master degree from an eligible university & program, you qualify for International Post-Graduate Stream; no job offers required to apply.
Other provinces may have similar types of PNP streams for Master degree graduates.

Please help me understand the primary occupation I can choose now in express entry profile:
NOC B - 5 years of foreign work experience
NOC A - 1year exp while I was on a study permit
NOC 0 Stem - From May 2023 - Present ( until August 2023 I was on study permit and from Sept I am on PGWP)
To be eligible for one year CEC - I will be waiting until Sept-2023.
For my Express Entry profile in the FSW category, which primary occupation should I choose?
It looks like you are a PGWP holder. You are eligible for Express Entry (FSW) now; and later CEC (Canadian Experience Class), IRCC is using TEER system (0,1,2,3) for Express Entry. You need to look up your TEER NOC code.
In 2023, IRCC announced 24 prioritized STEM occupations, you need to check if you are in it. If you work in a prioritized STEM occupation, you qualify for STEM category Express Entry (EE) draws. In the last STEM EE draw, CRS cutoff was at 481.
If you don't work in a prioritized STEM occupation, you qualify for general EE draws with very high CRS cutoffs (500 and above). Since the end of June, general EE draws had CRS cutoffs at 511, 505, 517, 496, 531, 504, 500, and 561.
Alternately, try PNP.

My current occupation is under TEER 0123, and listed as prioritized occupation. My concern is when can I use my Stem Job as primary occupation? Does it need to be so minimum months and does it need to be under work permit or even study permit would be qualified. I started in may 2033 however I APPLIED my pgwp in Sep 2023
@@parthshah4863 Look for "Express Entry rounds of invitations: Category-based selection" and review the 24 prioritized STEM occupations. Make sure that you enter one of the 24 NOC codes into your Express Entry profile to qualify for STEM category Express Entry draws. For CEC, you need 1560 hours of Canadian Experience (about 1 year). Of the 1 year of experience, you need 6 months of experience associated with your STEM NOC code.

@@parthshah4863 It doesn't work for FSW. You don't need Canadian experience to apply for FSW.
Once you have 1 year Canadian experience (at least 6 months from primary job), you qualify for STEM category Express Entry draws (CEC). Make sure your EE profile has the correct prioritized STEM NOC code, otherwise, you won't qualify for STEM category EE draws. In 2023, there were two STEM EE draws with CRS cutoffs at 486 and 481 respectively. Use CRS Calculator (as though you have the 1 year Canadian experience) and see if your CRS score is above 480. If not, you need to apply PNP.

If you have a work permit that's about to expire or that you need to change, you must apply to extend it or change the conditions on it. You should apply to extend your work permit at least 30 days before your current permit expires.
If the government is not planning to extend PGWP they can announce it earlier in the year not at the end of the year. We can't fully blame the victims.
Governments can do what it wants when it wants.
After one's studies and gaining some Canadian experience, the student should go back home.

Tell him to get a job in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick in the same field and apply for pnp if im not wrong all you need is a valid job offer there in order to apply for pnp. that's the only option he has. He will not get selected in EE with that score don't waste time..
And no your employer cannot extend the work visa if it's not lmia approved.

Know what is in demand federally (82 prioritized occupations) and locally (prioritized occupations in PNPs). Choose your major accordingly. Choose your province with easier PNP for your occupation. Then choose a college.

Hello Kubeir , as an expert what's your opinion on this developing situation caused by non extension of pgwp coupled with consistent high CRS cut off leaving CEC class high and dry. Is there any strategic planning by IRCC in it or just absence of any thought? On one side they say they have one million unfilled job vacancies and on the other side a minimum of hundred thousand CEC aspirants who have spent 5+ years and ready to assimilate in Canadian society to support the economy are being tossed around. Can anyone flag this issue to the people at the decision level. Sad to see the wastage of such a young and trained human talent knocking at the Canadian doors. Hope some positive thought process to address the issue.
Unfortunately it doesn't matter to them, because they will continue to get fresh flow of people who will graduate after completing their studies

Unless you are in a prioritized health occupation, I would stay away from Ontario. Even with STEM category-based Express Entry draws, last CRS cutoff was 481 which is quite high in my opinion.
Ontario has OINP Masters Graduate Stream if you graduate with a Master degree from an eligible Ontario public university; no job offer required to apply.

@@venomsss2577 Atlantic provinces are Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador. You are qualified for Atlantic Immigration Program if you study in any of the four provinces.
For example, in New Brunswick, besides federal Express Entry, it has New Brunswick PNP, Atlantic Immigration Program, New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Program. After graduation, file New Brunswick Student Connection Express Entry immediately; no job offer required to file.

@Kubeir - After draws of 75 CRS & 2 simultaneous 18 month extensions for people affected during their course of stay in Canada due to the pandemic. U think it was easy to get jobs during these 20-21-22 ? Easy to blame students for lack of research. When we came the scores were abnoxiously LOW. We were the applicants with some of the highest expected CRS scores in the coming years only to find out the bars are being raised every day.

Expedited pathway: You are an international nurse who is registered and holds a current licence that entitles you to practice as an RN in the Philippines, India, Nigeria, Australia, US, UK or New Zealand.

The funny part is student can't even get the right experience as there are very few in-field jobs in Canada. If you are not a software, networking, embedded engineer you are mostly screwed. I see many engineering graduates from universities that are considered reputed in Canada.- Like Carleton or Cocordia or Univ of Ottawa doing uber eats delivery or working at Tim Horton's for months.
One of the problem I see is, jobs are there but most of these candidates don't have quality. I don't even want to imagine what will the quality of education in mill factories. I work with many people who have PhD from Univ of Toronto or McGill, even their quality is not par with students o top colleges in say US. Even they keep asking me about my experience in US, some ask how can they find job in US and few even moved to US on TN visa due to lack of quality of jobs in Canada. Truth is unlike US, Canada does not has quality education to sell but only their PR. Most indians come to Canada not because the country is great but because they cannot get green card in US, and thus Canada is their only hope for a first world country passport. This includes myself.
Even software engineers aren’t safe now as the market is saturated and so many IT companies are doing layoffs. I know some people with years of experience in the networking and IT fields driving Uber today because they couldn’t find a job in their field.

If you are saying PGWP can’t be extended because it’s a law then why government broke it by giving extension to people till 2023. If it is a law it should be a law.
If you are talking about the laws then they are not allowed to break the law, doesn’t matter what the situation is.
How can you say it’s a law and can’t be extended, they did it and if they want they can do it again, it ‘s not about the law.
It’s all about the Government Politics & of course 💵.
Government doesn't have to break the law. They just need to make a new one or a temporary Public Policy, which they did and they did it to serve their purpose which is now done with

PGWP will get extended even now. You just have to show how much work you have done on your SIN nmbr, and your location. So say for example, if you graduated in a skilled trade like welder or construction trade etc plus you are located in a province except BC & ON, you have high chances of approval for extension. So sit tight, i think embassy gonna increase first time pgwp as 2 years for both 1 yr and 2 year programs. May be may be not, but its my guess. Because Canada knows that if people start leaving this country it will be reverse brain drain. And this thing will impact economy at a very worst rate. Good night. I am going to bed too.

@@ahmedmustafalabib3185 well 95% students are taking computers and business programs and then end up in truck driving with a crook lawyer and LMIA thing. Govt knows this thing. But if you are on right track and in trades program which are highly demanded, 100% chances of work permit extension, no need to worry.
