    Probably one of the best De dome jobs I've seen. Great work.

    Hi Could you do a video of pig-tailing an optical fiber with the emitter after de-doming the LED

    No need to heat it, just cutting ...

      thats what im also think .. why need to heat it ?.. the result also same with just cut it using new and sharp shaving blade ..

    hi, instead using razor do you have try using paper cutting blade ?. im only dedome using petrol before but after several fail on sst40, i want to try dedome using shave method like you did. but im afraid my cut will not straight if using shaving razor because it too thin and easily bend so thats why im thinking of paper cutting blade.. how close we can go ? is 0.9mm thick washer will be fine if im using it as a guide ?.

    Twenty years ago that might have been possible...not anymore since I have a damaged spinal cord. As bad as my hand shakes now, this would end in the emergency room when I cut at least one finger off.

    quick question, what is the required temperature for the diode to come off the pcb?

    What is the point of using heat? (silicone does not soften very much with heat hence why its used to encapsulate high power LEDs) doesn't just a very sharp tin and polished blade is enough? maybe using some isopropanol or ethanol as lubricant so the cut goes smoother.

    • @zeremeficostechchannel6751
      @zeremeficostechchannel6751  4 роки тому

      At that time I used heat to make cut smoother, I no longer do that. You should use a brand new razor, old razor will leave blemishes during the cutting.
      Also, a steady and determined hand:-)

      @@zeremeficostechchannel6751 Thanks for the reply, im about to dedome a LED for the first time so i wasn't really sure. i was thinking using something like one of those cheap school microtomes to cut the dome perfectly straight. Edit: its called hand microtome, i got a surplus one it just has missing the blade.

    Подскажите есть выбор приобрести 50 и 70 какой лучше светит? И какой свет лучше выбрать для рыбалки чтобы глазам было комфортно, там вроде 3000,4500,6500??? А и еще есть варианты точно сказать сейчас не могу ну вроде 12в 1,5 ампера и 6в 3ампера подскажи какой будет самый оптимальный вариант, все это дела будет записываться от АКБ 12 в 65 ач. В роли драйвера понижающий дс дс преобразователь, с ограничениям по току и напряжению, а вариант 12 вольтовый можно запитывать напрямую от АКБ ?

    Aside from being faster (though riskier) than the gasoline method, what's its advantage over LEDs dedomed using gasoline? Does it help retain the original tint? Thanks!

    • @zeremeficostechchannel6751
      @zeremeficostechchannel6751  9 років тому +2

      Hi, XHP70 and XHP multi emitter series, (mt-g2 too), cannot be gasoline dedomed. You willget a half dedomed led with damaged phosphorus.
      Hot razor dedome is the only way for above leds.
      Tint will get warmer, 1A will be 3B-C, but this is not standard for all times.
      If you need high intensity with a stantard tind, XPL HI & XHP35 HI are the only way at this time.
      Hope I helped yoy, feel free to correct me If I am wrong.

      Oh I see. I was not aware of that yet. Thank you very much!

      I shall correct 'Zeremefico'.
      MT-G2's can be solvent dedomed. I've used lighter fluid (mostly Naptha + Toluene), but gasoline has been shown to work also (on BLF).
      However, I don't know which method is more reliable for MT-G2's. That seems yet to be decided.
      Surely the XHP multi-die emitters can be solvent dedomed, as they are 4 XPG2 and 4 XML2 dies respectively? The single XPG/XML emitters can be solvent dedomed, so that should just scale up to the XHPs. Might take a bit longer to do though.

      +IamIronManUK Hi, can you show us a pic of mtg2 chemical dedomed? Hasn't phosphor removed along with dome?
      Can you share blf thread/post showing chemical dedome is plusible?

      It's been done a few times by others on BLF as well, just Google it. It does fail sometimes, as does the heat method, but it can be done successfully.

    Viel zu hoch und schief abgeschnitten, dieses Video zeigt wie man es nicht machen soll.

    for what is that? more light?

      luiscedillo80 less lumens (light output) but almost double lux (throw)

      zeremefico's tech channel Throw? what do you mean?

    • @Lumencraft-
      @Lumencraft- 9 років тому +4

      rovannon Throw means the distance the emitter will project light. In a flashlight you will get a tighter beam that will reach father away.
