I sooo love your videos! Even though I'm a dressage rider and have little to do with jumping, I still greatly enjoy watching those simple training vids. Also, you're such a good rider!

Her trainer seems so nice! She doesn't seem pushy but still seems to give the right information. He looks really good even though he hasn't jumped much since April.

You ride the horses so well, I can never quite manage on the big horses, always liked the ponys better ^-^

You are NOT a potato. I'm so glad I don't have the many lessons in which I made so many of the same mistakes. ;) :D

4:18---I can't stop laughing because I've shouted this exact phrase :D :D And the other one you uttered over the double the first time.
Know that we have ALL made these mistakes--it doesn't mean you can't ride or it's bad riding--it's about judging the stride and distance. I've been exactly there and some days, my horse jumped, other days, my horse stopped or ran out. You handled it well.
I was surprised to see such a lean fox!! But then I realized in your area, they are thin furred due to the heat :D
Also had to giggle at the dang airplane. I hate when I'm teaching during a heavy flight day ;)

How do u keep ur heels down so well? A few weeks ago I lost both my stirrups and fell off! :(

I’ve wanted to ask the same thing! I lost my stirrups twice jumping/cantering in my last lesson. I would love for a her to make a video on tips!

@@avaarnold5009 if you are losing your stirrups you arent keeping enough weight down in your leg/through your heel. Practice standing trot/two point

Agree with LittleBayArabianXx but also no stirrups sessions will also help! If you have a solid seat and lower leg you should be able to stay on much better without stirrups :)

try no stirrup work regularly and often, it helps a lot and will help you develop strength in your lower leg ☺

can i just ask, how did you ask for the lead change over the jump? i'm struggling with mine at the moment haha.

    • @AccidentallyOnPurpose
      @AccidentallyOnPurpose 6 років тому

em b You first look way ahead to the direction you want to go so your body will follow the movement and the horse will know you are asking for them to go that direction. Then as you are jumping you apply more leg on the opposite of the lead you want. (same as in a flying lead change except in midair)

    Do you still have River?
Also my impression of the horses:
    Urano: sort of lazy
    Boo: really nice
    Banana: strong

She does still have her. I think gabanna stayed at the same place as river while Lauren was waiting for Dubais weather to cool down
