Great lesson Eli. Would love to see more lessons with this type of structure, where you discuss the thought process. I'm actually motivated to work on playing around with something instead of just copying.
Vestal has so much taste. Any time I talk to other pickers who have a classical background about their favorite banjo players, I hear Bela, Munde, and Keith time and time again. Vestal always stands out to me, though. His timing and note placement (in my opinion) are unmatched. As far as other chromatic pickers go, Matt Menafee and Mike Munford are two others who always catch my ear.
Great to see this new video Eli. You present this lesson so well and break it down perfectly.
Thanks for a great musical selection.
Wow. Wow. You make this a whole lotta fun.

Awesome, very applicable! It would go great on I'll Fly Away.
Definitely!
Oh, what a cool lick! Thank you Eli!
